One of my younger brothers once pretended to smoke using a tampon's cardboard container. Needless to say the rest of us were horrified.

My aunt was a Navy nurse on a hospital ship off the coast of Vietnam. She said some guys received liquor bottles sent from home wrapped in Kotex pads. The guys used them for sweat pads in the jungle.

    Oh My Goodness!!

He was a busy little dude!

When I was young, I thought the sanitary napkins were just that, more like a band-aid. So for the playground costume party, I bought some of them at a machine and was going to use them as bandaids and go as a nurse. I "hid" them in the front bushes and lo and behold, they were gone later that day when I went to "use" them. I was SO upset at the time but now am thankful my Mom DID have eyes in the back of her head! I would have been SO embarrassed! Heck, I am just "telling" on myself!

I will always remember having to buy sanitary pads for my brother when we were in our early 20's. He was having a cyst on his tailbone removed and the doc said they were the best thing to use as a dressing as it drained. He was crayola crayon red asking me to make the purchase - I wonder what he'd have looked like if I'd made him do it himself!

Save this and give it as a present to his bride.
