If we have a recurrence~ Feeling dumped after treatment

Hi all I finished hercepton in June of 2013. My kitchen had water damage so I have been working over time moving things, and stress. I was a good patient, not too much trouble except for anxiety, this doctors office is so busy they don't seem to like it when your calling them unscheduled.

Anyway, I have been experiencing bad leg pain, and now bone pain, sorta like how others have described about how fibromyalgia~

I went to my oncologist almost in tears with my leg pain fearing that my cancer came back ( its how it came back for a relative )

He acted like I was crazy, and said if it comes back now or later it won't make a difference if we do any tests now or later...Surprised, basically I am dead so it doesn't matter anyway. ( he didn't say that but it seemed like what he was saying)

He gave me some tramadol and sent me home.

Since then the pain in my arms and bones have started all over my body, tried Ibuprofen doesn't seem to help much.

2 months later I try to refill the pills and they denied me saying I need to go to my general doctor, my doctor doesn't understand the side affects of the  chemo ect. why would I go to him. They made me feel like I am drug seeking.

So here I am hurting feeling they made their money now what~

I made an appt with a new doctor, which I wanted to for a long while.

Am I over reacting?

Has your doctor ever said if it comes back it doesn't matter if we treat it now or later doesn't make a difference?

No and that is a crappy response. Most oncologist feel that the side effects are minimal and will go away eventually. I had tremendous bone pain and took pain ills for about 6 months after chemo. I finally did get to a point where I didnt have the bad pain. It. Did get better. I hope you feel better. Try to exercise or massage your body. I understand and empathise with the body aches. They are real. Good luck.
