The whole thing was to tell me the mammo showed no abnormalties. Whew! Thank you girls for being there for me.
-
WHY can't they leave GOOD messages on voicemail??????? I HATE having to "contact the office as soon as I can!"!!!!!
Found out my insurance company that has cut me off has sent further letters to my doctors asking for more information!!! Why??? Are they building ammunition in case I "recur" and have to go back on LTD??? I told one doctor to NOT answer the letter as I was no longer covered!!
(The letters also said that the insurance company would pay the first $75 of the cost for the report and the patient (ME!!!) would pay the rest!!!! PLEASE don't spend my money for me! I do that quite well myself....sheesh!!!)
-
Barbe, do you no longer have the policy, or have they stopped your benefit for now?
-
My Chemo blankets
I made these during chemo
-
It didn't show the pictures
-
HAHA guess I should read instructions before I try doing something. LOL figured it out woooohooo
-
Beautiful crochet. Very nice.
-
Beautiful blankets
-
Lovely work! They would look amazing hung on the wall of any nursery.
-
BEAUTIFUL and joyful blankets!! You have had a good thing come out of a stressful situation sl...well done!!!
Melissa, my previous company is paying my benefits until mid-December so theorectically I'm still with Great West Life (insurance company). My company told GWL that they DID have a job for me which they didn't!!!!! So my ex-company is "buying" me out by paying 18 weeks of full-pay and continuing my benefits till then as well. Nice, but I still need a JOB!!!!!!!!!! So, if I "recur" I can just see the fight now!!! I'm not employed by my previous company, but AM being paid by them!!! I have been terminated as of July 31st.
-
As long as you still have coverage you are required to comply with their requests so don't tell the doctor not to do the report. Sorry, but I worked for a health insurance co. (Not disability, but I know...) for thirteen years and this is a big no no. You might find that if you do recur your coverage has been cancelled for noncompliance.
-
CL, really heirloom blankets! Beautiful.
-
Thanks everyone. I want to make a choo choo train one next and then I am going to make one for each of my girls and my 4 nieces so they will have them for when they have children. It keeps me focused on the blanket and my mind doesn't run crazy with "what ifs" Crafts definately help
I am hoping I will be able to crochet some after the bmx, te and reconstruction.

clwhetstone,
I'm sure you will be able to crochet after your surgery. I was knitting like crazy after mine-it kept me sane.
-
thank you juliaanna
I find that I worry about some of the dumbest things lately. I am over anxious these days waiting for a date for surgery is about to drive me over the edge. I want to have everything done and completed by 12/31/2013 I don't want to deal with anything other than follow up and check in appointments in 2014. LOL
-
Good luck with getting everything out of the way. Back in 2011 I was trying for the same thing - unfortunately, it didn't work out for me - but hope it all goes well for you!!!
-
I finally finished my first "real", as in bed-sized quilt. I was really happy with how it came out.
-
And showing back fabric
-
Wow! Melissa that look fabulous! Love the use of colour and I can't believe it hasn't taken you long to do it either! Well done you!
-
WOW is right. That is beautiful. I'm looking forward to making a quilt one of these days.
-
What size should I be using when I load these pictures? Obviously I need to make them smaller. I know you can adjust them, but I don't know what dimensions are good.
-
I usually try to stay smaller than 650 x 550, don't know what other people do, though....
-
That's about the range that I use also.
-
Let's try this
-
Do NOT make the pictures smaller!! They are perfect and so is your quilt!!!! You did AMAZING!!! What a joyful, fun project. You MUST be very proud of yourself!!!!!
Melissa, about insurance, they are under the assumption that I continued with my current job. They have no idea that I was let go as my company had told them that "of course they had a job for me!" They didn't. But, they are paying my coverage until mid-December. It is just for extra benefits like prescriptions and PT and such. I get general medical coverage from the government, so I've still got that. Nobody believes that they'd renew my long-term disability anyway if I had to stop working again! I haven't even STARTED working again as I can't find a bloody job!!!!! They wanted ALL the doctors notes (Psychiatrist) from our meetings. Umm, NO. This isn't a homicide or something!! That is pretty private shit. Though seriously it was mostly about being so stressed by being off work and on half-pay!!!! I can understand them wanting specialists like surgeons and stuff, but not psychiatry!!!
-
absolutely beautiful!
-
Melissa, What a joy it would be to wake up under that quilt! I love the happy colors. I'm so impressed because you began quilting such a short time ago.
-
Many employers think they have the upper hand because they've got the job and you want the job. They get a bit big for their britches as a result. Asking for psychiatric records is out of line - as is asking for your facebook password, and some do that, too.
-
Melissa, the quilt is beautiful.
Barbe, hope you can get your insurance straightened out and you are able to get a job.
-
Melissa, I am super impressed with your quilt. I wish I could make something that beautiful, especially in such a relatively short period of time. WOW-love the colors!
