Concert during chemo?

Okay it's a silly question but I gotta ask...would you go to a concert during chemo? I have great seats to a Dave Matthews concert, and the date falls a couple days after my second AC infusion. I haven't had (knock on wood) any SEs so far. Provided I'm feeling fine, can I still go or is it too risky? My MO is very conservative so I'm sure he'd advise me to stay in a closet for six months if I could.

I went to a big wedding two days after chemo #5, someone else who had chemo when I did went on a vacation to the caribbean, if your counts are good and you feel ok, I would go! I have seen Dave Matthews in concert and he is great! Have a good time!

I agree, as long as you feel up to it, go and enjoy! Might want to have someone else drive in case you feel surprisingly tired by the end of the night. And I would personally be using a lot of hand sanitizer while I was there. LOL

If you are feeling O.K. definitely go to the concert! I taught full-time, went to track meets, band concerts, and to a family reunion weekend 350 miles from home; all with no ill effects. For me, keeping life as normal as possible was really important.

If you feel up to it, then you should absolutely go! My husband and I traveled to Jamaica while I was doing chemo (dose dense ACx4 followed by Tx4). I was a little tired, but how much energy to do you need to sit in the sun and drink Rum Runners all day? LOL Enjoy the concert!
