Worried about brain mets

Hi all! I'm almost into my 5th year. For the past 5 or 6 months I've experienced intense right side headaches, I lose my balance on right side, and am having a hard time understanding simple commands. In 2008 I was diagnosed with IDC grade 3, her2 equivocal and ER/PR negative in right breast. At first I thought it was related to sinuses but an ENT confirmed with a CT that it wasn't. I see my oncologist tomorrow and am scared. Anyone have similar symptoms? Thanks a whole bunch!

steelerfan, sorry for the late response. I've never had those symptoms but many years ago (pre-BC) I had very strange visual symptoms, saw a neurologist, got a brain CT, etc and after more doctor's visits, the conclusion was that I had the wrong eyeglass Rx (coupled with my aging eyeballs--my eyes were starting to spasm). So that was a lesson--that sometimes these scary symptoms don't always mean the worst. Glad you went to see you MO and I hope that was helpful. Sending you warm wishes.

Thank you Peggy! My oncologist scheduled a brain mri for tomorrow. I fell twice at her office. It's crazy! I can't walk in a straight line and always tip to my right when I stand without support and have a hard time saying some words or phrases. My headache starts on my right side then hurts toward the back. I appreciate your warm wishes! Hopefully I'll know more tomorrow! Best Wishes to you too!

steelerfan - wishing you best wishes that you can get to the bottom of what is happening. Hoping that it is something other than mets. Keep us posted.

steelerfan...bless your heart I bet you are scared. I had a bit of dizziness and a slight headache but my dx turned out to be a combo of sinuses, allergies and a bit of vertigo. Hope your dx is not anything dire. diane

I had vertigo for about 4 months. It finally went away after I did some exercises the ENT gave me. I had the same symptoms as you; felt as if I was walking on a ship and tilted to the side. Best of luck that your symptoms are nothing serious--
