Juneau- Yes sorry meant to respond back to you on FB. Thank you so much for responding. I guess I need to try to figure out how to keep my "drive" up.
The way the Gabapentin was explained to me was, because it is actually an Epileptic medicine. The way it works is it paralsises the nerves and nerve endings which causes hot flashes and pain. When it's dead those things don't work. Which keeps the hot flashes at bay. Thank goodness, because I'm loving not having hot flashes and dry clothes when I wake up in the mornings.

Outdamnspot and Scottiee - looks like 2 sisters found each other. Congrats on the meet-up.
Hopefully some of the Texas gals can get together soon after school starts. Chrisrenee you need to be in on this.

Wonderful photo! Great hug and sly smiles. Thanks JoAnne.
We just saw the Jobs movie. Disappointed. Not sure if it wasn't good or if he just wasn't a nice person but sure love my Apple Products.
When you Texans get together, be sure to invite CMBernardi. She's been missing lately. Hope she is OK. -
FYI-Cmbernardi is playing on the 2 word phrase site`right now.

Had a great time with Scottiee yesterday. So nice to meet sisters.
I had my one year mammogram yesterday, that's why I was hanging around Toronto with Scottiee. Didn't get the all-clear I was hoping for, so back next week for an ultrasound of my other breast as there is a spot of some concern. Doc said it was about the size of his little fingernail. Fuck. Deja-vu in the worst way.
Still in shock as I was thinking how good I felt and everything was just great. Crap.

Outdamnedspot---
Let's all pray that it is still nothing.....Power of prayer...
-
Great photo! Love the sister getogethers! Can't wait to be part of one once! OutDamned, wear an old shmata with a big pocket so you can pour some coffee and cream with sweet and lo inside...I am in with lots of hopes it is just a blemish on the film!
Stride..thinking of you!
I am off tomorrow to Indiana to see my DD coach her first collegiate game of the season since I will miiss the majority of it. Going back to Fla next week so soaking it all in at home. Hugs.
-
Outdamedspot- in your pockets too, with cookies, of course. I got called back after my first mammogram too. Turned out they were looking for my new normal. Positive thoughts and prayers going your way. Of course we worry but hope its just them being extra cautious.
Aruba - shmata - haven't heard that word since I was a Buyer ages ago. Made me smile. -
Out in your pockets too!
-
Had my 6 months MO appointment today and all is good. My mammogram is scheduled for the end of November and follow,up with MO in December.
Also was at orthopaedic surgeon today for cortisone and synvisc shots ... OUCH .. Stung like crap. ... Can you say blue dye injection ... Now to see if they help. Fingers crossed ladies. -
Out damned- I am so sorry about your results. Please keep us informed on your sono and results. I will pray for quick results.
Aruba- good luck to your DD how exciting for her and all of you!
Joanne- November is just right around the corner. I'm so happy that I did BMX vs lumpectomy, I don't have to worry about more mammos. Good luck with the injections. Hope you have a pain free night. -
Outdamnedspot, Sneekychiquita and Marianelizabeth in Vancouver last week -- I am just the photo poster ....
-
What a group of beautiful, interesting & well traveled women we are! Proud to call you all my friends.
-
Great picture ladies, how fun that you got to hangout.........
-
Thank you so much Joanne for posting the photo. Some day I'll be able to figure it out!
-
Great picture ladies! How fun!
Great news Joanne! Hope the shots work for you!
Chrisrenee, I've been wishing lately that I'd gone the BMX route instead of lumpectomy. Mainly because this breast LE is painful and a pain in the ass to keep up with everyday. Nothing like a daily reminder there! I have my first mammogram (since my lumpectomy in Nov.) on Sept. 4. Two weeks! This is for the radiation study, so it'll just be on my affected side. I'll have my first one-year diagnostic work up in Dec. on both sides. Trying to get some fucking motivation to start dieting and exercise. Having a ladies night out here tomorrow, wish you could all be here! At least I'll get to see my girlfriends and have a drink or three.
Outdamned... Fuck! I'm in your pockets and praying hard sista! Hang in there! Distract distract distract!💗 -
Hi all, just jumping in for a quick hello.
Stride how are you? You are always in my thoughts .... -
Outdamned- in your pocket. Prayers that it's just one of those many kinds of "harmless" spots they warn us we can get but follow up on due to our history.
SweeWi If you find that motivation to diet and exercise somewhere let me know where because I've been looking for it myself. Like I said before I get on here to catch up and read that Believe is baking cookies etc so that gets my sweet tooth going- lol shows how much willpower I have I can't even read the words cookie or cake with out looking for something sweet.
-
Hi gals....just thought I would mention to my Canadians here that I'm off to Ottawa on Monday and will stay there till Friday. Would love to meet up with anyone from this area
if they have the time, perhaps for lunch or a quick coffee...😎 -
Jumping in pockets.... will bring martini's and any other goodies needed.
Off to work now.
Hugs & Love to all xxxx
-
Great pictures!
Out - in your pockets also, my first mammo showed a 8 mm cluster of microcalcifications - they are watching it; hope your US shows no cause for concern -
Excersize isn't all it's cracked up to be! Don't let anyone fool you! There has to be a miracle pill out there that drops a pound a day! They are just hiding it from us so that we continue to go to these torture buildings called gyms to bend our way through machines and take these classes that make it so you can't get off the couch when you get home!
Just last night I bought into the hype and took a piloxing class (Pilates and boxing) and I swear they piped something in through the vents because I stayed for the abs class!
Ladies we must find this miracle pill before this excersize thing goes any farther!
TGIF!😜 -
KarenZ0305 I'm with you on this exercise crap-if there was a like button by your post I would have used it lol
-
Lol Karen!! Happy Friday ladies! Hope everyone finds their Happy!
