US multiple complex cysts, on Letrozole

My second mammogram and US after breast cancer and lumpectomy was in February of 2013.

Although I have been on anti-hormonal therapy, Letrozole, I had more cysts in my ultrasound this time than I had half a year ago. To be precise I had at least four complicated cysts in the breast which had a lumpectomy ,Bio-Rad 3 , probably benign. My breast is huge and extremely painful.

I really think I have a very good radiologist, but I am still scared because of the cysts.

I am postmenopausal and should barely have any estrogens in my body that would stimulate cysts. So why do I have all these cysts. Is anyone else having something similar?

I am scheduled for follow-up for a mammogram and ultrasound in a year. That is a long time. Are all of you having two mammograms for the first year after lumpectomy, and then you are scheduled for a mammogram every year?

Yes, Hope2learn, I have had mammograms every 6 months on the affected breast and will do so the first 2 years I believe. I too have the sore breasts on Tamoxifen.
