That's me! Sorry I haven't responded. I have noticed that this isn't common, and I dont really know what it means for us, other than I'm seven years this year (yeah baby), and very thankful for that. Don't get caught up too much in this. I have to say that it can become really easy to try to categorize based on a lot of things, but the truth is that we don't know as much as we should know about prognoses based on initial diagnoses. I don't know about anyone else, but I find myself sometimes disappointed in the lack of meaningful follow up data for us all. One day at a time!

Thanks spunky for responding. 7 years wow! I start chemo on 9/11 and have a year of it + radiation. Definitely nervous. Any words of wisdom?

Mine is uncommon too, I am ER- PR+ and HER2+. Not many women like that but my onc still recommended me with Tamoxifen...she didn't think it was a game changer.

Hi! I didn't know we are an unusual combination. I am 4 years out from diagnosis, 3 from treatment, and still NED. Just saw my onc this week as a matter of fact. I had the full experience... Surgery, chemo, rads, herceptin, & ongoing hormonal treatment for the ER+ ( tamoxifen, surgery to remove my ovaries and now Aromasin for the foreseeable future. Besides some minor but irritating side effects from the various treatments, everything went well and continues to go well. Let me know if you have specific questions and I'll help if I can.

Anyone been BRAC1 and 2 tested? What were the results?

I was tested and was negative for both. I did have a maternal grandmother with BC in her 60s, a maternal aunt with ovarian cancer at 42, a paternal aunt with BC at 43, and my diagnosis at 42, so my onc said there are likely more genetic markers to be discovered so he couldn't rule it out for the rest of the family. This was 4 years ago before it became a "panel" of tests. I did have a cousin just go through the panel and she was negative for all.

Edited to add-I just noticed your chemo protocol. That's the same one I had and handled it pretty well - I hope you do too!!
