Hi Susie, Linda the Bra Lady has a website with many suits. You can also speak with them to discuss your situation. They have all sorts of regular suits and suits for those who've had lumpectomies and mastectomies (and yes, the issues are different). Their retail store is in NYC, which is probably not too helpful to you, I realize. I was somehow spared these issues. I did have multiple lumpectomies, but my breasts are small, and the defect is on the lower half of the breast. The breast also swelled after radiation and has remained so, helping the situation greatly. If you also post on the reconstruction site of bco, they might have suggestions, as well. Pockets can be sewn into regular suits.

Not sure if you have this store in the US but we have a store in Canada called Swimco. I was able to purchase a vet fashionable Tankini, prosthesis and an awesome coverup for about 200 dollars. I am 42 and I think it is very fashionable and age appropriate I know they have a website. Good luck.

I have never heard of that store but I will search the internet for it...Thank you so much Shoppygirl.

You are welcome! Btw love to see that you are from Tennessee! I am always trying to get my hubby to take me there! I love country music!

Susie, Just wanted to appologize. I had assumed that you had a lumpectomy because you used the description "divot", but I guess it can also apply to a mastectomy. So, I deleted my post. I'll just leave the name of the online store, since that still applies for mastectomies: "Linda the Bra Lady."

I found a great swim suit made by speedo designed for Mx ladies
Speedo spirit turbo suit
Haven't tried out the prosthetic I bought with it yet. But the suit fits well and covers up all sorts)
Bought it thru swimweargalore.com.au -
Hi, I am in Australia, but usually shop online in the US because there is such a great range there.
I really like, and have bought several, Amoena suits, and I have an Amoena swim form which is a clear silicone prosthesis with waves in the back of it to prevent any embarassing slurping sounds when you swim:) There are also Microbead Forms available that can be used in a swim suit.
Lands End do a few nice suits, and if you check out some of the companies that supply all things Mastectomy, you'll find lots of other brands that you may not have seen before. I played around with a few of the suits I wore before my surgery, but found they failed because they just weren't cut high enough on the chest to stop the dreaded "Fall Forward", my pet hate:) The weight of the prosthesis would pull the top forward and away from the chest showing a big expanse of nothing on that side. Not a good look!LOL
I managed to find some Tankinis that had adjustable straps, and were a higher cut on the chest on sale at Target, and they are just great too. No fall forward!
I haven't seen the Speedo, but will check it out.

Ariom. That's really helpful. Will look at those other brands
And re the prosthesis
Thnx -
A pleasure, Nocompromises!
Take a look at Ebay too, I have bought some super cheap, amazing things there. Unfortunately, as you'd know, anything Mx related is very expensive here in Aus, but if you know the sizes you need, you can buy prosthesis and high quality bras etc for a fraction of the local costs.
Take care!
