I just did the dirty girl mud run yesterday! It was the most fun I've had in a loooong time. Due to back issues and being out of shape it was more like a mud walk, but I completed all the obstacles. :) It is free for survivors/fighters which is awesome because I'm broke. Tomorrow I have a bone scan and I'm trying to not be paranoid. I have to finish plans for a vow renewal. 10 yrs married September 20th. and a 34th birthday early October. I have things to do! :)

Awesome! Good for you. It looks like a lot of fun. I want to do it when my treatment is done.

Thanks everyone. :) AryaS, I definitely recommend the dirty girl mud run. It is not timed, you can go at your own pace and skip any obstacles you don't feel comfortable doing. I'm still getting herceptin and I'm on tamoxifen, so I'm done with the hard stuff, but I'm still not back to my old self yet.

    Wow looks like a blast!

    Thanks for sharing photos.

I will be having a bone scan on Aug. 23rd.

Anything you can share about your recent scan would be so awesome, for I am very nervous.

    Thanks

The scan wasn't so bad. They inject you with some dye, send you home for a few hours and then have you come back for the scan. You just lay still while a table moves you very slowly. I had my results the next day, but that was because they weren't good. They found a spot on my spine and now it's one test after another. I'm tired of it. :(

Thank you. I got the mri results back and they said its cancer. I have a ct scan monday, they are setting me up for a biopsy to see if this is her2+ because if it is then the herceptin hasn't been working. I just called the cancer treatment center of america and hopefully I can get in there. I'm tired of local doctors.

Thanks everyone, I've been a mess lately. I decided to go to the university of penn instead of cancer treatment centers of america. I have a biopsy tomorrow to see if it's her2+. They still have me going in for herceptin today and I'm getting really irritated with my doctors. I had my ct scan a week ago and still didn't get the results because my oncologist was on vacation. In the meantime I'm having panic attacks and can't sleep at night...

BethCon, someone's taking call for your own oncologist.  Can you call the office and insist on speaking with whomever that is, just to get the results of your CT?  Is there a nurse navigator where you get care?

And how about asking for some ativan or ambien?

I have ativan, and xanax. I got my results back today...they found a spot on my liver. 3 spots on my spine, 1 on my liver. I'm numb right now, just scrolling up and looking at the pictures of me from just the other week...its like that was a million years ago. I want my life back.

I'm so sorry.  There are just no words.  But you ARE the same warrior as in the picures up there.

You're in my thoughts and prayers, dear sister.

Thank you. I can't say the news has gotten any better. They found one more spot in the spine and my L4 is fractured. I just started radiation yesterday to try to alleviate some of the pain. Then I'll have to do chemo all over again. I'm tired just thinking about it.
