I will happily change my avatars for Stride or for any of you!
Juneau as always you put it right. our cousin who lost his battle with this disease would've loved you. He never liked fluff and wanted it straight up. As far as my restaurant visits yesterday I had enough for everyone on here! I felt you all in my pockets trying to get out for the bite but since we are all fighting these pounds I felt it was my duty to dispose of temptation for you all.
BTW Believe I'm getting so many compliments on my bracelet I may need to order more!
Enjoy your weekend my sister's! -
Momof3- great news! Jumping in for DD's EEG appointment.
I meant to tell you all, I have been on Neurontin for 3 weeks in addition to my Effexor. I take 2 Effexor in the morning and 300mg of Neurontin at night. I went in to my MO for a follow up and discussed how I was depressed and cried all the time. While I was sitting watching her look at my lab results I saw the phrase I have been longing to see in the last 16 mos. NO EVIDENCE OF DISEASE! Of course I did not say anything about it.
Just had dinner with my parents and now at their house for dessert I'm such a gluten for punishment.
Have a god night. -
Congrats Momof3 and Chrisrenee on the great news....
-
Sorry I have been a little MIA for a bit, I have my ES and DIL here with us this week with the grandchildren and will be holding a meet and greet for baby Paisley and mom for a fairly large group of people and I am trying to fit in the work hours as well. Lots of cooking and planning, tiring but definitely 'my happy' for this week
I am in for changing my profile picture to Stride's favorite flower or whatever else she would find inspiring and Stride, I will add a quote but want it to be special and meaningful and I am a little brain dead this evening. ((()))
Congratulations to those who received good news, Momof3 - hope work goes well as you start back up next week, look after yourself so you can look after those kids
Ramols and Juneau - I will be doing the Run for the Cure up here early October and I like your ideas for fundraising. I am also doing a 'triwellathon' in September for a local association that has provided and continues to provide much support for me since my diagnosis. Feels good to be giving back. -
Juneau - I will send you the link to the baby pictures in a private message tomorrow

Well when I can work work out how to change my bloody avatar I will... geesh! I've only had 2 glasses of wine.

Hopefully I did this right! Thinking of you, Stride.

That what I was trying to do... in a word doc. maybe that is what I am doing wrong. I am such a door knob at times.

Momof3Great.....me too, but we have to thank Chrisrenee as she guided me through it.
We are never too old to learn new things, and when it comes to the computer, boy do I still have a lot to learn......lol
((((((Stride)))))) -
Thanks Chrisrenee!!!!!!
I was actually able to so it from my iPhone.
My one DD is doing well, but the other one is slow at getting better. Hopefully she is just a day behind. It always seems worse when it is your kids involved!
Happy Saturday my Sisters!!!!!!! -
Good Morning Ladies- I am sorry I have not been on here lately. August has been crazy with travels which I love but it is wearing me out a bit but that is self induced for the most part:)
Some of you are on the FB thread which is nice so I can keep up with some of you there.
I am so freaking stiff when I first get moving in the am:) when I drive it takes a few minutes before my feet can loosing up so I can walk normal. I am used to it but really drives me crazy. I am hoping my doctor can suggest something for that as it is like my feet lose circulation after sitting for long periods like driving or work. I just try and stretch every day. But for most part in some pain and stiffness every day but I am so used to it now as new me:) I bought a foam roller to use to keep me running and help stretch me out.
Do a lot of you have this SE?
Well I hope everyone is having a good day and I am keeping Stride and all of you in my prayers daily! Love and Hugs!

Mcook; I was just sitting here complaining to my husband that my back stiffened up in the middle of the night. Foam ruler sounds useful. I just do some yoga stretching.
You all changed your avatars and now I can't tell anyone apart at first glance! Lol!
Chrisrenee; I've been on Neurontin (aka Gabapentin) since November. It's my miracle drug. Got rid of my hot flashes. I still flash, but they are super low key.
Ok. Going to get on my beast and then off the the pool. Did something to my shoulder and can't go to muscle pump class today! :-( -
Just wanted to pop in and say happy Saturday to all. Love this day - start of the English footie (soccer) season. Off to a wedding this afternoon - a guy my DH used to work with. Hope the sun comes out soon.
Hugs and love to you all xxx

OK So how do I change my Avatar to Stride? You all seemed to handle it fine.
As for me I am now on Day 5 of taking an anti inflammatory, Arthrotec for my neck/head issues. I have better ROM but it is still a long way from what I would call normal. Of course it is unlikley there will ever be a reason given either though there has been some discussion of trauma caused by extensive surgery followed by radiation so yeah, I guess these things could set up tightening of shoulder and neck muscles enough to cause pain on any movement. Ah well I am also back taking 1 mg of Ativan which the doctor thought might help and yes I am sleeping better though now dozy in the mornings. Better than not being able to move my head I say!
Juneau glad you hear you got the thuumbs up on your thyroid. I have my U/S next Friday and am sure it will be fine too.
Tazzy, it has been an odd week here for weather though ususally clearing by afternoon~~feels like fall is on the way.
-
Luanne, that's my hometown,lol!
(((Stride)))
Everyone else, xxxxxxxxxx! Ha!
Love you all and hope you have a fantastic weekend! We finally have some summer like weather. This has been the strangest summer ever! (For many reasons!). Sheila😎 -
This dang disease I happened on this article this morning. What a heck of a blow for this family- again way too young for this disease. http://www.today.com/health/mom-daughter-face-double-cancer-diagnosis-together-6C10929476
