In Dec. of 2011 I was diagnosed with IDC, left breast had lumpectomy followed by 6 weeks of of radiation 30 in all. I was put on ameridex. Dec. 2012 went to get my follow up mammogram, I was diagnosed with IDC in the right breast, had a lumpectomy and 30 radiation treatments. The last one was in mid March. My skin healed and the sharp pains alomt stopped, i have one once in a while. About a month ago i started getting little tiny bumps under my right breast, they dont itch and they are spead out not close together. It is also alittle red and warm. My ribs on the right side are very sore to the touch and the pain starts under my right breast and goes to bottom of my ribs. They feel like they are badly bruised but there are no bruises. Has this happened to any one else. Im alittle worried.

i think thats normal pain after rads. I seem to remember this type of pain. my memory is just shot( 46 yrs old)

surely someone with better memory than me will pop in

I'd suggest you return to your RO for a follow up.  I had a similar experience with my ribs, but not the skin issues.  At the least you'll not have to worry if the RO feels it is part of a normal recovery.

I had a slew of tiny pimples in my radiated area after treatment.  My RO said that was a normal reaction and they went away within a couple of weeks.  I also had rib damage with pain similair to what you're describing.  They sent me for xrays to make sure the rads hadn't broken any ribs.  It cleared up after about 9 months.  Its powerful stuff they do to us.  I waited till my 6 mo check up but wish I'd gotten the reassurance sooner.  It gets better.
