I have so many emotions right now! Scared, nervous you name it. I have an appointment to cut my hair shorter tomorrow not sure how short to go. I have so many questions which I guess when I go to this chemo teaching class on the 21st some will be answered, I hope. I have heard that even if you don't loose your hair for 10 to 14 days after your first treatment that some people have a lot of pain in thier scalp and end up shaving thier head befor it falls out?? any suggestion would be great,

Four years ago i had my hair cut really short from a bob in preparation for chemo. Fourteen days after my first chemo, I had a funny tingling in my scalp and told DH that my hair was ready to start falling out. He didn't believe me, but the next day was the start. I got so fed up with hair falling out on my pillow, when I combed it, in the shower etc, that I asked DH to buzz it all off. Can't remember exactly when but definitely before the next chemo. You will have to decide what's best for you. Some like to buzz so they are in charge of when they lose their hair, others take a more wait and see approach. It's all what you can deal with best. But it was not painful for me! Good luck with your treatment.
