Salvestrols?

I've been reading up on foods and things with cancer fighting properties. Anyone ever used Salvestrols? I see all these stories online about people getting rid of their cancer but I don't want to just believe everything I read. Anyone have research on these? Also, anyone use with chemo? I seriously doubt my mom's onc would approve since it is alternative but just wondering if anyone has taken these.

Shannon, some people do supplement with Resveratrol (link to wiki), which is derived from grapes. As far as I know, it is safe, but I would not expect it to heal cancer. It would be a good idea to ask the onc. Mine is pretty good about telling me what he considers hokum, what might be useful and what to stay far away from.
You don't have to follow the onc's opinion, but might as well get his input.
