While this isn't exactly a beach shot, it was taken on our way down to the beach! Apparently it was dragonfly mating season...they were literally everywhere. I find them fascinating. When we got down to the bay and parked the car, this was the sight that greeted me, right at the door of the car!

Also cool tall ships pictures. We went out on our boat one year when the tall ships were here in Tacoma. It was just great!! I'd post a pic, but they aren't on photo bucket yet, and I'm too tired to deal with it tonight - maybe tomorrow...

Apparently my brain also auto-corrects, as I never even saw the HDTV thing until Barbe mentioned it!!!
Then I had to go back a read it a couple times before my brain didn't do it's own auto-correction!! -
I noticed it and thought perhaps she watched the cruise on her HDTV because she hadn't been on one.

Here's one of my favs....a cloudy night when we thought we wouldn't get good pics down at "our" bay. This one was taken from inside hub's truck. The reflection you see is from the front hood of the truck! Love the sky ... I call it the "painted sky". Looks like mountains in there, but they are clouds too.

Wow, that is really beautiful. There's a man here who only photographs in reflections. They are a little disorienting. Good thing he signs them to give a hit which way is up.

Does anyone have any idea what kind of tree this is??? I saw it while we were in Japan and have never see anything like it before.

I can't really tell, but it looks similar to the butterfly bushes (which is not the real name I'm sure) I have in my front yard.

I wish I could see the flowers better. It looks somewhat like a lilac, but it also bears a resemblance to a crape myrtle.
