Suggestions for 'burnt tongue' feeling on Taxol?

I am almost done with taxol (#11 out of 12!) of course then comes FAC rounds....oh well. I have been feeling like my tongue is burnt..no white just like if I had my coffee way too hot. Any suggestions? I can't taste anything but even drinking hirts a little. Any suggestions are appreciated!

    My Onc gave me a prescription mouth rinse. It's called "Duke's" or something like that. It really helps with the burnt tongue feeling.

    Another helpful solution is Magic Mouth which is by Rx - Lidocaine based mouth rinse to swish and hold as long as possible. Have mouth ulcers - especially rimming tongue and base of tongue - finished dose dense AC x 4 and next Thursday start dose dense Taxol x 4 which I hear can also have mouth sores. Good luck.
