Idgie - That schedule is a bit tight. I agree w/ Stonebrook, if you can reschedule it would be better. It was probably at least three weeks before I was doing much, and a full month before I was getting back to my normal self. But, if you can't reschedule, you could just lie back and enjoy a drink and the sun and relax, you should be able to do that. Best wishes. - Jean

This may sound odd, coming from a guy, but my ex-wife is having a double mastectomy with reconstructive surgery next month, and I'm helping her research some thing good to buy to hold her drains.  She said there's not a lot of things she's found out there, but I told her I would try and help her find many possibilities for her.  If anyone can offer any suggestions I would appreciate it.

    Lisa,

My PS also made it sound like he wouldn't be "excited" to do a double MX DEIP flap due to time in operating room. He also mentioned that I may not have enough belly fat to do both breasts as I am a 38 C or D depending on the bra style.  I don't want to push it if he's not comfortable with it. He is one of the only Doctors in the area that does the DEIP that I know of, and he already works side by side with my breast surgeon, so I'm not sure I want to go with another PS.
I would love to hear more from you.

    Krissy
