I am receiving almost the same thing as you:

16 chemotherapy sessions: first 4 were the AC protocol and the next 12 will be Taxol and herceptin (Herceptin to be continued for a whole year at 3 week intervals after my chemotherapy)

I will then get operated on to remove whatever is left of the tumor.  After that I will start my radiation therapy and after that it will be some other therapy (not sure what it is, but it will be for 5 years minimum).

I wish you all the best with your fight!

I was triple positive, stage IIIa, dx'd August 2004. I had generally the same treatment regimen you are facing -- 4 AC, 4 Taxol, 1 yr. weekly Herceptin, 31 rads (ended early due to "burns"). Have been on Arimidex for 8 years also.

    Still NED!

Things often change in treatment regimens -- I don't know if weekly is better than every 3 weeks. I assume that some studies showed every 3 weeks is as good or better than weekly. Certainly more convenient, and likely less costly, too. I would guess you will probably get a higher dose than I did on weekly schedule.

I really had no side effects from the Herceptin. No significant SE's with Arimidex, either.

My treatments were all post-surgery, but now some treatment protocols call for chemo first, then surgery (like LOutlandPot).
