Each situation is unique - but for what it is worth I too had a DVT five years ago post a 2nd knee surgery in a 9 month period.  After careful consultation with my physicians - we decided that I would take the Tamoxifen AND a daily dose of aspirin @ 81 mg.  So far/so good.

Thank you, Melissa! That's good news. I will talk to the surgeon about that. I'm not "jumping the gun", but just want to catch something (or try to prevent it) if I am in that percentage of those that do have the ADH go any further. Thanks again. :)

momcat... I cannot answer that... But I too take baby aspirin 3-4 times a week. I had a blood clot after a surgery (before starting T) and my MO was ok with it... said my reasons for getting the clot had more to do with my port (for chemo) and less about me being suseptible. Certainly worth a good conversation.

Thank you everyone, like I said previously I have put the mascetomy on the back counter so to speak. Even though my primary is really pushing for this. I cannot grasp it right now. I have scheduled an appt with an oncologist on Friday and a second opinion with another doctor on Monday the 16th. Then I should have a better idea of what I am looking at. I know I have to have another open excisional biopsy but I am going to wait a bit to schedule that. Do you think it would matter if I pushed it back until after January or is that not wise to do that? Reason why I am asking is my daughter is getting married in November, and my husband's father has stage 4 lung cancer and we are traveling to see him in September. I will keep updating once I see oncologist and second opinion doctor on Monday. Thanks again everyone for all your support.

Lots of prayers and hugs, Liss
