Thought I'd share my "hair journey" and at the same time bump one of my all-time favorite BCO threads! I'll never forget finding this just as I was finishing up chemo, and how much jennyboog's words & pictures meant to me.
I swear I have the slowest growing hair on the planet, but that's been true all my life. I'm just happy it now covers my ears and looks like it's short on purpose, not just a post-chemo 'do. -
Thanks GArai and congrats on getting through tx. Slow growing or not it's there sweetie!
-
Georgia, fantastic photos
Jennyboog, your 4th cancerversary & my first will be this July....thanks for being a great role model
-
Fabulous transformation! Thank you for giving us all hope for the future
-
You look fantastic. I am a year out this month with many aches and pains (which is worrisome) but I am feeling tons better. My hair is growing back and I'm getting geared up for my reconstructive surgery.
-
Thanks everyone! Yep, 4 yrs in July, feels like yesterday sometimes, that day that everything changed. But it has got better....the aches and pains, the fear, the worrying...it has for me and it will for ya'll too. Even though some of the help comes from new meds, it still is better -
Jennyboog...this still is may favorite post that helped me so much when I first joined...thank you and Congrats on 4 years in July!! WOO HOO!!

I'm almost finished AC and then onto T x12. The road seems so impossibly long and surreal. The pics on this thread are a life line. Thank you so much for sharing.
Sarah
-
Sarah, you can do this...Taxol was an easier chemo than AC for me. I was able to get around and function much better. It's not easy but if your SE's are managed well, I think you will also find Taxol more manageable. Keep reaching out to us, you are not alone
-
Justkeep,
Ditto what Peace said. A/C was brutal, taxol much easier. The fatigue at the end of chemo was also annoying, but it all slowly gets easier.
