Blondie, put out some cat food & water!!! If you feed them, they will come! But take 'em straight to the vet first!

Can you borrow or rent a humane trap from an animal shelter? Bait it with some yummy food? Then transport to vet?

Blondie Teka's right but if u keep on feeding them they will come back and 1st thing is a vet in a cage and got from there. We'll walk u thru it after it's so easy and they can be so loving, my Katie-Kat is always with me and sleeps with me and cuddles alot--but she is not an outside cat--my cats were never outside cats, just cuz I preferred that. One thing they pretty much take care of themselves

Word to the wise, gentle kittens will tease for food & rub up against your legs.

Once I picked up a barn kitten drinking from a saucer of milk, hand was shredded.

Once I thought a feral cat had grown to love me, still have the scars from a bitten hand.   Finally, after weeks I took the cat with badly injured leg to the Vet, had to be put down.   I now ignore outdoor animals.

I was lucky not to get cat scratch fever, blood poisoning, tetanus, or rabies!

Teka i agree that's why I said in a cage that they walk into, ot putting them in. My cousin got cat fever a few yrs. back he was really sick. I had never heard of it before but it can be brutal. And that's one of the reasons I don't let my cat go outside I don't want her bringing things in like they do. ick

Then add insult to injury, I had to pay Vet to put the feral cat down and listen to a sermon about staying away from outdoor animals.

    Hi Everyone,

I have been out of the loop this past week. It was my DH's off week, so its busy busy busy. Oh and I did not strangle him, lol.  There was one tense moment with him getting snarly with me, and I called him on it right away, and he backed down without a fight. We ended up laughing over it.... I firmly believe that barking and snapping is unnessary when communicating.

We went to the fair Thursday, and I can now say I had a Krispy Kreme hamburger. It was "ok"  I think it would of been better if the hamburger was thicker and juicy. My burger was thin and the flavor of the donut overpowered the meat.   We also had the popular cream puffs there. They are sooo so yummy.  As you can read, food has gotten the best of me.  Another reason why I can't wait to be done with chemo and the dreadful Decadron.

I weeded the front flower patch. It had not been done since I moved here. I never had time, with my job, and then getting sick and all.  It really felt good to finally do this, and now it feels like it is mine.

I also started an art project. At first I was a bit uncertain about it, because I am not an artist. But low and behold, I recieved an email from Stillwater which talked about art therapy. Basically it said it's about expressing your feelings with the journey of fighting cancer. The article said it's not about making an art piece that would be considered Art Gallery ready...if you know what I mean.   My goal is to have it  completed this month, which is when I am done with chemo.

My kitty frequently thinks he can crawl on the kitchen table, I have squirted him countless times, and he at times isn't affected by the water. Anybody have any ideas?  Maybe I will go on utube to find out good training techniques. Its amazing what you can learn on utube.  I learned how to tie long narrow scarves on my head.

Fritz purrs often, so it was cool to hear that purring is healing. Sometimes I gently put my head on his body, and it is so soothing. My left ear hurts at times, and his warmth and sounds makes me feel better.

Blondie, I loved you named your oxygen Otto....so funny. Its good to have a sense of humor.   The other day I was looking at my head in the bathroom, and thought, geez if I put some cotten on my head I would look like a q-tip, (I have a skinny head, and a long face)

Cami, hope you are doing well.....Jazzy, cc, Laurie, teka, slick, and Markat...hugs to you all.....Lori

    Camille,

You are SO perceptive and sweet. Yes, everything is ok, just overwhelmed with all that I would like to say. I felt like that summed it all up. Innocent

Things are fine....8th day of rads. Breast is red and sore, but it is not too bad.  My daughter is doing better. Still staying with us while she gets over her Vertigo and nausea. The meds are helping.  The baby boy is thriving, so that is good. Things with my arm are taking over the Cancer issues.....but we are plugging away day by day. I am on my way to a 2nd opinion.

I just want you all to know that you amaze me and I am so very glad you we are here for each other.  Kiss

All is well and happy! I promise! :)

    XOXOXOXO

    Laurie

    I feel so far behind.

Thank you for the good wishes for "Mr. Skittle."  That made me smile.  It has been a rough couple of days.  His sons did not have any clue, and are having to work through it all...  DH has become a shoulder for them...

Getting the classroom ready.  Open House is Mon night.  eeg.  I am not good at meeting masses of parents, especially not knowing the students yet.

Hugs to each.  Laurie, take care.  Slick, thank you for the doggie advice.  Blondie, hoping for good deep breaths in your future for you soon.  Jazzy must be off on the beach by now.  Lori, glad no strangulation yet.  :-)   Camille, love how you go quickly to the point/perceptive on Laurie being so quiet.  All... take care.  Too hot to breathe outside.  Still wishing for rain.

This breast cancer road is so rocky & overwhelming sometimes, but somehow we are always here for each other, kind of like touchstones. That amazes me & makes me very grateful for my friends on these threads. You all are my lifelines on some days!!! Thank you, ladies:)

@teka, I looked at the last two pages of the "Great Saying..." thread and didn't see any comments there that were edited by the Mods. There was one comment that was posted by the mods, and several that were deleted by the person who wrote them.

I think the mods sometimes edit threads to make repairs such as fixing broken links. I don't know if they edit posts that have been reported for rules violation, but it wouldn't surprise me if they do.
