Macy, I know your doing lots of praying but if that doesn't work fast enough go out and have a jug of Taquila!

Seriously, I would just call the doctor and ask if he has the results...Thinking good thoughts for your good health

    Love Tricia

    Besides waiting until after work...

Also, anyoneon the blockers, woudl knittign help loosen fingers or just hurt more?

sickofpink~~Are you taking Claritin? Or the generic, Loratidine? It really helps with the bone pain.

OMG no! It did help with Neulasta - what a great idea! I  tried Aleve and Tylenol and Ibuprofin.... will try that, thanks, Soteria!

Is it okay to use indefinitely? One gal who just finished said the aches do go away after 3 or 4 months but if I stopped I guess I'd know, right? Still have Herceptin infusions so need to confirm okay with onc.

    Anyone using chia seeds?

The oncology nurse/practioner at the cancer center told me, she has seen it work for so many people. They don't know why. They just know it seems to work.

You can get the generic at the dollar stores. Let me know if it helps.

I don't think it's harmful to use indefinitely. It's for allergies, and people take it for allergies indefinitely.

My cannabis protocol - I tried pot pills but I didn't like them.  I buy my cannabis through a local compassion club that my MO referred me to and I can get it in pretty much any form you can think of.  I've found that ingesting it works best for taking away body aches and not getting too stoned.  I prefer using a butter-based infusion (e.g., cookies) over something infused in alcohol (e.g., lollipops) or oil.  But everyone's different... just got to experiment to figure out what works best for you.  When my anxiety is really bad and I just need to get away from it all, I'll smoke a joint and go for a hike or something.  Works for me, hopefully you can find something that works for you.

Arimidex (Anastrozole) & teeth/jaw pain...  I think I posted this a few weeks ago but here's the scoop.

Had a cracked tooth pulled last month, 2 more broke off when they removed the bridge!!!!  I have been taking Anastrozole since the beginning of April - 3 1/2 months & for the last month I have had a lot of pain in my upper and lower jaw. Dentist thought I needed a root canal, Onc said stop the Anastrazole for  2 weeks and see if the pain went away.  I was sure the pain was from the tooth and not the meds so I continued the med and got a root canal yesterday (now I need a crown to go with it - owe another $1000!!).  Well jerk that I am - tonite I decided to read up on anastrazole and jaw pain - guess what, it can cause jaw pain!!!  I am so upset that I have just gone through all this only to still have all the pain - even worse than before.  It only hurt with cold (watermelon, ice water, etc) now it hurts all the time and when I eat...this sucks...Well, I got that off my chest and now I'll go take another Vicodin and go to sleep!!!   Anyone else with jaw pain!!!!!

Bugs so sorry to hear of your pain and the $ spent for something you didn't necessarily need. Hope you feel better soon. Thank you keetmom and everyone. I'm praying for similar outcomes for all of us. They have new cancer drugs coming out all the time, I hope and pray that we all will live to see the cure for this awful disease.

Macy there will never be a cure because the treatment is so much more profitable for the drug companies... Sad isn't it..

Good Morning Girls, I am on my way to an endodontist and hope he can figure out what this pain in my upper and lower jaw is..  I have had it over a month and want to scream and pull out teeth when I get it, which is a few times a day. Been to the dentist  every few days, taking Vicodin and swishing with Sambuca to numb it - hope it's something simple like stop taking the Anastrazole but I really don't expect to get any answers - I'm worried. Hope everyone is doing well, have a great weekend.

Join me in sending prayers and good wishes to our BC sister SickofPink (Leslie) who's daughter had a terrible fall and cracked her skull and broke her arm and moved in with Leslie for her care....  To make matters worse, she banged up the car trying to get to the emergency room to see her daughter....When it rains it pours, good luck friend...Kiss

Oh by the way, had another root canal on Thursday and the pain is gone - so is $5,000 I spent ( on credit card)on my teeth since April!!!!

Trisha I'm glad you're finally rid of that dental pain. I don't think any pain compares to it.

Thanks for telling us about Leslie & her daughter. I'll be praying for them both.

    Blessings

Sorry I;ve been away - luvbugs fille dyou in, Glad about your tests, Macy. Thansk Soteria.

Yes, I am in living hell, my daugter is like a wild animal, oain meds donlt work so she takes so much shels at risk of OD'ing so I have to be in charge  adn shels never lived with me and my husband, doesn't want to be here and my husband doesn't want her here screaming at me and I am exhausted trying to keep up with all of her meds around the clock but can't send her back to live alone - she was just looking for a place to move, with a roommate and my best friend from London is flying in for a post chemo girls trip (cancelled of course, the doc watns my duaghter supervised 24/7 for at least 30 days, but no dirvin gfor more and more if on meds still) and she is bored and in pain and hates it here and I'm so tired. I have an infusion next week - and at least it distracts from my Aromosin aches. Tonight she wants her pain meds early (doc said no) but wonlt take the meds to relax, wants to call a cab and go home - to the apt she fell down the stairs n. I could call her sister to visit, but her sister woudl give in and take her out where she could get bumped and hurt her arm before the plates have healed, or tirp since she's on meds. I'm cancelling book things righ and left - was slowing down anyway now to take the moth to rest, ha! but doing Skype book clubs and a knittingchannel.com thing and hired part tiem caregiver, but different ones and my daughter is polite to them but yells at the waste when they leave, I just need a break....ugh she is yelling at me again......

Oh my, SickofPink. You seem to be really going through it. I hope that things get easier for you and your family. The saying When It Rains It Pours seem to be in effect in your life right now. I don't know if you Pray, but I do and I am definitly doing that right now for you. Always remember we are a sisterhood. And when one hurts we all do. I've gotten a lot of inspration from you and others on the boards, and I hope you read or find something that will help you through these trying times. Hugs and Kisses sent to you, Cynthia aka Macy.

Good Grief Leslie - I don't know how your getting through this... I am sending great big hugs your way and maybe a jug of homemade wine with it (Note, my husband grows wine grapes and sells them to wineries and local people who still like to make that good Italian barrel of homemade wine but believe it or not we rarely drink it unless someone brings it over - it puts me to sleep and I act silly - heck, maybe that's just what I need...Want some anyone?  Kiss

Thanks for letting me vent, last night was scary. My BFF cancelled her trip here from London, that was sad, but both my daughter and I got a lil sleep and I will allow her to go home for bits here and there and we'll just have to see what's next...

I didn't know who else to reach out to -- so thansk for being there and thx for the prayers Macy and the homemade wine, Luvbugs.
