Mammogram AFTER bilateral mastectomy w/recon??

Has anyone else's oncologist suggested this? Mine told me this is the latest trend. I am worried the implant will rupture!

I am 2 years out from bilateral mastectomy with recon and chemo. Stage 1B. Also triple negative.

Mine said no mammograms needed. Will have regular MRIs to check on implants. That is all. Never heard of this.

I only had a single mastectomy. The surgeon said no mammograms on that side.

I ddn't even have MRIs. Not until my new primary on the other side. Then I had an MRI due to a worrisome lymph node. Otherwise an MRI wouldn't have been done.

I had a bilateral masectomy and I was told no mammograms. I will have a breast MRI once a year.

I was told no mammograms either and MRIs weren't even mentioned.

Y'all are so good at convincing me to do what needs doing. My husband told me to call, my friend told me to call but I kept thinking maybe it would go away. Anyway, just called, talked to nurse, waiting on Dr. 'S instruction. I hope this doesn't mess everyone else up. I feel like a bride before a wedding.... The caterers, the guests, all are planned. What happens if I don't get to get married tomorrow? Ok, it's not a wedding. Bilateral mastectomy, but the surgeons are lined up, the mother in law has a plane ticket. Ugh! Well, if it is going to mess things up, better today then tomorrow, right?
