one rib hot spot on bone scan

Stage 1 almost 3 years ago. Due to mildly elevated alk phos, I opted to go for a bone scan. Scan was great except for one spot on my anterior 5th rib. Report believes it is a result from mastectomy surgery. My oncologist gave me the option of Chest CT to confirm it and I took it. Now I am anxious. The spot is a circle, and I know cancer tends to go with the bone in an oval. I am so anxious. Is this a worry, is would be small if its a cancer, but wow, stage 4. Has this happened to anyone?

HI Lola, I am sorry you are going through this. I am praying the spot is benign and turns out not to be cancer on the CT and that you're spared a biopsy of the bone. I haven't gone through what you are but I wanted to send you my support.  Its good your doctors are checking all avenues to ensure what they're seeing.

I know others in similar positions will be along soon.

    Hugs
