Bilat Mast w/ pea sized lump in non caner reconstructed side

Options

Has anyone had any lumps the size of a pea in the non Cancerous side of a bilateral mastectomy?  I have a lump an inch above incision.  I go Tuesday to see Breast surgeon.  Was wondering if there are benign lumps people get and what are the chances of a new cancer or reoccurence in the unaffected side?

I just noticed I have three or four pea-sized (maybe a bit smaller) lumps adjacent to my underarm kind of at the top of where my implant is. You can see them when I raise my arm. I'm hoping it's like some fatty deposit or something but I'm freaking out. Called for an appointment with my surgeon and it usually takes a few weeks to get in but I'm in today at 3:50. Let me know what you find out, if anything! I had a small lump under one of my incisions a few weeks ago and the nurse said it could just be the suture working itself around or whatever. She said this can happen several months out. They didn't even have me come in and it seems to be gone now. Maybe it was a tiny abcess or something, who knows. Anyways, good luck!

I have the exact same thing!  I had a double mastectomy 3 years ago because I had multi-focal DCIS in my right breast only.   I have noticed a small pea sized ( smooth ) bump on my left breadt right close to the end of the scar closest to my sternum.  It feels like a suture granuloma.  I had felt a few of the same a few months after my mastectomy and breast surgeon did an ultrasound for my peace of mind.  I believe he'd said it was suture granulomas.  I promised myself to quit feeling them and letting my imagination run wild .......well, I found myself probing them again and I can feel that small bump.  The only kind of comforting thing is that I feel one just like it on my right side as well, only not as prominent .

I met with GYN  and he said it felt like a suture used as an "anchor".  I met with a new plastic surgeon yesterday ( thinking of a revision ), and felt it and moved on with our conversation .  Yet, I'm still worried .
