Anyone else getting shooting pains in their breasts?
I had a bilateral masectomy in January 2013 and lately I am getting shooting pains in my breasts. It is not constant or even daily they just occur now and then. Is this normal or should I be concerned?

Probably it is nothing, but truly, it is best to get it checked by your doctor.

I'm only 10 days out from my mastectomy, but I'm having shooting pains at the incision site too - everyone seems to think it's the nerves firing and trying to come back to life, so to speak. They're awful, and happen at the most random times - I'm sorry to hear you're having to deal with them so many months after your surgery :-(
My soon-to-be-ex-husband had nerve loss and numbness in his leg because of herniated discs in his spine, and he had/has shooting pains down his leg years and years later. It's worth asking your doctor about of course, but that's my info :-)

I am in 6 years remission and I am also experiencing pain in my breast. I had a lumpectomy followed by reconstruction to both breasts 2 years after lumpectomy. I mentioned it to my consultant who referred me for a bone scan which was fine and I have regular mammograms, which are fine. Unfortunatley no one can tell me why i am experiencing these cramp like pains which last for about 20 - 30 seconds, they take my breath away. This has been happening for at least the last 3 years and appeared at one stage to be becoming more and more frequent. They have subsided somewhat, but I was shocked to fine other people experiencing similar type pain, but no one can tell us what is the cause.
Can some one tell us?

I'm getting them post mastectomy as well. My surgeon said it is the nerves.

I noticed this type of pain on my right side. I had bilateral mastectomy in March 2012, cancer was in left breast. My pain has been increasing, radiating from my underarm to just below my right implant. I go see MO for quarterly checkup next week and i will be discussing this with him. I will report back...

I have an achyness on my non effected side. I had a BMX in 2011 and have the pins and needles but I am now feeling an achy type of feeling on my good side. I had implants put in and the good side is soft and good but the rad side is tighter.. Still, the feeling is on the good side and from under the arm to the side of my breast, I feel it in the shoulder and back to, almost like when you stretch your arm, it pulls? Hope its nothing... Maybe I do too much with my arms??
