Hi Ladies,  It's been a few days since I have been on so I'm trying to catch up on reading the posts.  I have been on facebook though and am so glad you guys set that up!!

I have my third chemo Thursday... This go round hasn't been bad at all.  I feel pretty good, only thing i'm noticing is I have an appetite.  I am trying to make good choices as far as food but it's hard and I'm afraid I'm going to be huge by the time I'm done with chemo If I continue to eat like this.  :(

I saw how some of you were talking about nipple reconstruction and tattooing.  I'm going to have to make that decision at some point too.  I still have several months before I have my implants put in.  I think I want to take a look at some photos of the 3d tattooing.... that seems like an option many people do.

Cyndie...so glad you had a good first day back at work.  It is nice to get back to doing normal things!!

    Hello ladies:

I cannot begin to tell you all how much I have enjoyed reading your posts. I stayed up until about 2 am this morning being entertained by everyone's posts. Amazing how the cancer journey can turn strangers into friends. I'm sure I've posted here before with a few questions and would love to be a part of this special bond here. I love the positive energy you all have and how you lift each other up when needed, and would love to be a part of it.

With 8 weeks past my surgery, I'm amazed how tired I still get with walking several blocks. I know this will past and I feel like I'm progressing well after 5 surgical procedures. I had BMX with DIEP reconstruction. However, the right breast failed and I now have a TE in that breast. The right breast looks fantastic. My Onco tests indicates no chemo is needed, but I know I have a journey on this path with more work to be done on the right breast.

It appear you all are considering a private Facebook site of which I would love to join, if it's okay. My FB name is Vanessa Duplessis.

    Wishing everyone a great Tuesday!

By the way, I'm amazed you have energy to walk after that many surgeries!  Thats fantastic!  My last one, I felt like I had already started chemo..fatigue really bad!

Oh Cyndie you crack me up. I have tears running down my face from laughing so hard. Still just giggling.

Today was a good day. My oldest daughter came over so we started packing the kitchen and living room. My son helped a lot too. It just makes it so much more real when you pack the main level vs the basement and garage. We are going to work upstairs tomorrow on the storage room and all the eves. We have lived in this house 20 years and I am a pack rat. Or was. I am much better, not as good as I need to be yet, but getting there.

Went to my ps today. His office is going to call me Thursday and give me a date and time for August for my expander surgery. Finally going to the next stage. He said it will take 2 months to fill them and then I have to wait 6 months after that for implants. So in about 9 months I will have boobs!

Are you sad to be leaving your house?  Or excited about the change?

I, even when its going to better place...hate moving..and like you am a pack rat.  Not quite a hoader..have thrown out a lot since I've been off and rattling around here..but very sentimental.

Oh how I love our group! Y'all make me laugh so much.

No I will not be sad to leave this house. I love the mountain house. So peaceful and quite.

Found out yesterday we will be expanding our family. Some friends of my oldest got a big dog from a friend that they cannot keep as they live in an apartment and already have a big dog. We will be taking the dog in. She is almost 2, potty trained and spayed. We have 2 small dogs, but our big dog that we had for 15 years passed away last year. This new dog is 1/2 Doberman and 1/2 hound dog. She is beautiful, but has had a rough life. Please pray that all of them get along including my cats. It shocked me that my husband told my daughter yes even before he talked to me, but he knew how much I have missed Abby. Shila is my baby, but Abby was my husbands trail walking buddy and she always went on my walks with the other 2 with me. I miss the security that she gave me too.

My son is going to be 20 next month and he wants me to go with him to talk to the Army recruiter tomorrow. He is my last one at home and my baby. He says he is not sure that he will join until after my next surgery. He was planning on joining after my final surgery, but Tha is not going to be for about 9 months and he says he does not want to wait that long. He thought it would be so much sooner for me to be finished and so did I. Who thought when you find out you have this stupid disease it would take over a year once you have your breasts removed to get your new ones.

CK: I live in the great city/state of New Orleans, La. and glad to see you found me on FB.

Cynde: I confirmed your friend request. Thanks for the comments about Liam...he's my 4 year old grandson--only have one daughter and one grandson. My DH has been gone for 12 years. Liam is one of my main reasons to fight the BC beast.

Chinney: I had to have a TE implanted after my DIEP fail in my right breast and I hate it. This is the breast that has caused so many surgeries and I pray that this gets better real soon. Are you now pleased with your results? I'm concerned about the healing after 3 surgeries.

Gowith: I would love to meet you one day--your posts are hilarious. Sounds like you will soon be off to a nice getaway.

Good night and wishing everyone a peaceful rest.

We need pictures.  What the hell does a 1/2 doberman 1/2 hound dog look like.  Sounds like a funny looking dog.  LOVE dogs, but we travel too much to get one.  My friend has two golden retreivers and I visit them as much as I can.  Went over tonight and they couldn't get enough of me scratching their backs.  If I ignore one, he/she will bark til they get the attention.  Too funny.

Liamsgrand: I am pleased with the size I have right now with the TEs. I have cleavage!! I just hope the implants will look as good once they drop and fluff. The PS said it could take anywhere from 3 to 6 months for them to completely settle in to where they are going to be. I'm looking forward to having these TEs gone. Also just so you know, I am Cyndy. Cyndy and Chinneymae are one in the same. I got your confirmation on FB. :)

In ref to the implants, and what you have been through..does it hurt? I'm going to see plastic surgeon here,,just to look at the option of those, as it appears that its going to be awhile. I know if he says I have to have the TE's even with the skin I have..I probably won't do it. But, the actual implants...is it painful..uncomfortable? I've heard they feel like rocks in your chest for a good while..(now that is one person saying that). Also what size did you get? And what kind? Gummies?  ................Can I BE more nosey? lol.

Last night, was a bad night. My MX around my arms hurts like heck and I feel so swollen, I couldn't get comfy and everytime I moved and oh so hurt. Just a bad night overall. Feeling so grouchy, hate the way I feel. I'm having a big pity party today. Stomping my feet and yelling at the world, WHY ME?? Didn't I have enough in my life earlier?? Why would you test me again? I have only just begun and feel like I can't continue on. The pain, the exhaustion, it's just all hitting me today. Gonna go try and go back to bed... See if sleep will help. Thanks for listening.

I totally get what you are saying! Bed will help..as rest helps your frame of mind....and if for nothing else..just to be unconscious.  I hope it gets better for you.  Do you have any pain pills?

CK: Not sure if you were talking to me or Liamsgrand. I have TEs right now and they are hard, but not painful. Not the most comfortable. I had my last fill yesterday and the office will be calling/emailing me with my exchange date. The ladies I talk to on "Exchange City" say that the implants are much softer after exchange and feel so much better. The two main reasons I didn't do the flap is 1) I didn't want an extensive surgery and 2) I am 57 years old and my original boobs had already drooped so I wanted perky boobs. Flap boobs will gain weight when you do and lose when you do and also will droop with age. There is also a chance of rejection and that means more surgery. Some people love the flap. I haven't really spoken to anyone that has had them for any length of time to see if they are still happy with them. When I have my exchange, I will have the soft round silicone gel implants. I have 780ccs right now but will probably get 750cc implants.

It's just what you prefer for you and your body.

Heather I hope you get some good rest tonight.

Cyndy.... I'm anxious to hear how your transfer goes.  I probably have 2 more fills before mine.  I haven't really had any issues with my expanders.  I am sore the first day or two and then things seem to loosen up.  I have to admit it is very strange to watch your breast get bigger right before your eyes. It's like inflating a balloon!! Laughing

Tomorrow is chemo #3 ladies...Please keep me in your prayers.  I will facebook a picture from my summer vacation....running joke with my girlfriends, they all are going places for the summer and  I felt left out so I say I'm vacationing at Mayo Clinic twice a month. Wink
