Just wondering if anyone experienced any blurred vision at times while on taxol this is a week after my 5th treatment but only second of taxol. It's not all the time but a few times a day .

TasiaB,
It's not unusual for someone to develop dry eyes when being given chemo. See if putting preservative free eye drops several times a day into your eye helps. You might also need an eye lubricant of white petrolum and mineral oil at night. I've also added a lubricant eye gel. These are all available in well stocked drug sections of most drug stores and big box stores.
Chemo can very rarely cause optic neuropathy. It's really hard to find evidence of this in eye exams and tests. But if you have vision problems brought on by cancer treatment, you should see an opthalmologist for a thorough exam. Should probably see one anyway as we get older.
I had some vision loss and severe dry eye after chemo and during treatment with antihormonals (which you won't need since you are triple negative). The drops, gels and lubes have made a substantial diffierence in my eye health. I had several tests to check for optic neuropathy and retina damage with no evidence of damage, though it could be subclinical. I was waking up blurred vision that would linger all day long at times. Now all is under control.

Tasiab,
I am going in today for my #4 TCH treatment. I need reading glasses only (2.0 to 2.25) but have found everything is much blurrier and harder to foucus on....and it comes and goes. My onc says it's the chemo drugs doing it but it will go away after treatment is over. In the meantime, she says to use lubricating eye drops to get some relief. So not to worry! Like Doxie says, a good eye exam after we finish with treatments would be a good idea for overall eye health.

I did not have taxol (4 Ac and one year herceptin), but I also had blurry vision at times from both the AC and herceptin. My vision did clear after treatment was done.

TasiaB - I had quite a bit of blurred vision with Taxol - sometimes I couldn't read the TV screen when the "big" titles for the shows came up and had to ask my husband to read it for me and it's a 42" TV - YIKES! but...it was intermittent and would come and go with no real rhyme or reason? Thankfully that went away quickly a few weeks after my last dose of Taxol and hasn't come back!!

so glad to read I’m not the only one! I had blurred vision after first treatment of AC. Scared me that cancer had moved to my brain!
