Pain Uncontrollable

Hi Everyone

I have been on Lyrica for about two months now.  It took a couple of weeks for it to kick in and then seemed to be working fairly sufficiently,  However, the pain has now returned full force.  I only take two lyrica a day and they are just the 75 mg onces.  It seems like they stop working about five hours before I am due to take the next one.  Would you increase your dosage if it were you or do you think I need to go back once again to the oncologist and ask if this is OK.  I am not due to see her again for another 4 weeks, and dont really want to have to go any earlier.  Any thoughts especially from those ladies that are currently taking Lyrica.

Thanks everyone

Betsy

Hi Bethen, maybe you go to your doc and ask for a change of medication. Lyrica may have run its course.

Your pain may have become immune to this. Have you ever tried OxyNorm?

Hope you get some pain relief soon.x

My husband has been on lyrica for years for nerve pain from back problems. He is currently taking 6 -75mgs s day. Dr. Told him he could take 8 a day but he cant function well on 8. Talk to Dr about increasing dose
