Lovely pic as usual Lisa........that water looks like a mirror it's so calm.
Yay Kathy! It's always good to get the good to go for another year speech.
I also remember doing the Lamaze class prior to the birth of my eldest DD and I'm sure it helped because we were concentrating on something other than the pain. I still use the technique when dealing with prolonged strong pain and it still works......lol. Hope your DD has a good delivery when the time comes.
Love n hugs. Chrissy -
Hi ladies, I've been busy with family visiting lately. I am back in tired mode after restarting my AI. I can take 2 naps a day and sleep through the night (well, aside for the trips to the loo)
great pics on here, girls! Aly, looks like you have got the hang of that new camera.
Kathy, yay!! on the all clear for another year!
A friend from FL sent me a gift last week, see if you can spot it in this picture.
-
thought of you gals down under this morning..they opened a new koala exhibit at the San Diego Zoo
-
tiny dewdrops on the bush ..
-
Stunning photo Lisa.
Look at my koala picture, great one of the Koala
-
Great picture of you too. I loved the links to the Pukekos ads and training.
-
Great photos!
-
Fun pic Aly...that koala is grayer?
-
Lisa their color varies from light browny grey to the steel grey in Aly's pic depending on the area they come from.
Great pics all! Love your dew drops Lisa!
Love n hugs. Chrissy -
our jade plant is blooming, really tiny pink flowers..
-
My SIL had a jade hedge in front of the apartment she was renting. It was in bloom when we went down for her wedding.
-
Doesn't bloom very often..
-
I have a huge jade plant, actually two, in pots and they have never bloomed........just as well the foliage is interesting and they do provide a bit of green when its at its hottest here. Love seeing yours in flower Lisa.
DD has finally decided the color she want her train to be.....thank goodness! The next step is the pattern.......I need to do two samples to show her my ideas and hopefully she will go for one of them as the patterns have to come from my head as I can't find one even close to what's she is talking.
Had a bit more energy today and finally got that cleaning fairy into gear and got the floors done.......I must admit, they do look better when clean.......lol. Dusting is next on the list.........now where is that cleaning fairy hiding?!
Love n hugs all. Chrissy -
I love the pics, Alyson and Lisa. Not only a great picture of the koala, Aly, but a great one of you too! Lisa, I've had jade plants through the years but never had one to bloom and didn't know they ever did.
Chrissy, good luck with the cleaning fairy! I sure could use one of those, but couldn't we all? You're certainly pouring your heart and soul and many talents into your DD's wedding and she's so fortunate to have you. What a vision her dress will be with a handmade train! I can't wait to see the pictures I know you'll post either. How's your DD doing in her recovery?
We kept DGS today and when DH was taking the dog out, DGS told Papa to "watch out for reptiles" and if he saw one, to "jump over it". DGS just turned 4. Where do they get this stuff?
Hugs to all,
Kathy
-
Well, kathy, now you know!
-
PS the blossoms are really teeny. Mine is outside all year long. I fertilize it occasionally and water it every once in a while.
-
Hi Ladies, Enjoying all the pictures! They are enlightening and refreshing!
-
Lisa, mine are outside all year round as well and it rarely gets watered by me, only what comes from the sky with the occasional drop through our hot summer. I've never fertilised it so maybe that is your secret.......I think I might try that come spring and hopefully I'll get some flowers this summer.
Kathy I must have scared that cleaning fairy away as the dusting still needs doing.......lol......I guess I'll catch up with her when she comes out of hiding........anyway the dust is not going anywhere, unfortunately.
DDs dress will be beautiful! It is heavy creme lace with the train I am doing in a latte colour and then over that is a tulle train in black and it's all held together with a large hand made rose in black. I sort of sat back and thought a bit when she told me what she wanted and I wasn't sure about the black but it is going to be one out of the box and stunningly dramatically beautiful. I will definitely post pics when the time comes. She didn't want white as she said she is too old for that, she's 40 and I admit what she has chosen suits her perfectly.
Well, must get back to it.
Love n hugs all. Chrissy -
Have upset the cleaning fairy and she has vanished, maybe the office will get finished tomorrow. Absolutely no energy left to get it done today but DDs would be proud as I have thrown out a lot of stuff. My just have to get DH to go through his papers. He has stuff going back many years from all sorts of organisations!!!
Yesterday was beautiful but today was wet and cold never mind it is winter.
Big hugs for all.
-
I have been trying to get my DH to clear out some of his overwhelming stacks of papers for the 10 years he has been retired..it only keeps growing. I am at a lose to know what to do. I mean mountains of papers.
-
To those in the USA
-
Happy 4th July!!!!!!!! Hope you all enjoy your day of celebration with good weather, good food and good friends and family!
Love n hugs to all my American pals! Chrissy -
Hope everyone had a happy Independence Day, and thanks for the wishes Alyson and Chrissy! We had a cookout here with the family, lots of fun, and mercifully, it did not rain. This is the first day it hasn't rained here in ages. All's quiet now, except for some neighbors down the street who apparently spent a fortune on fireworks!
Kathy
-
Looking forward to seeing the fireworks from DC
I used to work in this building
-
I suggested to DH that we scan the important stuff, like deed to the house, insurance papers, etc. Put the scanned documents on a thumb drive and put that in the bank box. That way a fire wouldn't take out every important document we have.
-
Makes good sense Wren
Friend sent this.
-
Wren that's a great idea about the thumb drive...........I have all my documents etc ina portfolio that is easy to grab in case of emergency but I love your idea as an added precaution.
Aly, love that little quip and I agree whole heartidly........lol.
I have arrived in the city and am at DDs house waiting for other DD and friend to arrive so we can all go have lunch before we go to the ballet.......can't wait!
Hope your weekend is a good one.
Love n hugs. Chrissy -
Chrissy - seems like your days are filled with lots of fun times with your DDs. I know you enjoy every minute of it. I know the wedding train will be beautiful as you are so talented with your needlework.
I am enjoying time with my DDs, DSILs and all the grands. I wish they could stay longer, but they have to get back to their jobs, homes, and lives. I am off to bed now as I am exhusted.
Hugs to all, AJ

Just got back to DDs house after a wonderful afternoon at the Ballet. We saw the Australian Ballet perform Swan Lake, one of my favourite ballets and the performance was fabulous! The principle dancer was like a little doll she was so tiny but oh could she dance! Her footwork was impeccable and so graceful........it was a real pleasure to watch. My arm is so sore right now from applauding so I guess a couple of pain killers just might be in order to get me comfortable.
Love spending girl time with my girls!
Hoping you are set for a great weekend!
Love n hugs. Chrissy -
love it when these are in bloom
