Novlene Williams-Mills is a Jamaican track athlete diagnosed with breast cancer just before competing last year in 2012. 

She qualified and will be running again in the World Championships this year in Moscow for "all the breast cancer survivors out there.  I want them to know it's still possible."  Click on the link below for the full quote:

She is just 31 years old, and she found the lump herself.  Her older sister succumbed to ovarian cancer at age 38.  Novlene talks openly about her experience here:
