Triple Negative and Tamox
I've read some recent studies that are suggesting that there may be benefits for TN women taking Tamox, because of some of the other ways tamox might affect tumor growth. Has anyone heard about this? I'm actually 1% ER+, but at my hospital they don't consider you ER+ until you're 10%. I have my next MO appointment next week and hope to really press for Tamox. I don't like the idea of the SEs, but anything in the arsenal that might help, I'm all for it.

Hi, yes I have read this also. My doc wants me on tamox. with being 3% er but I had bad se's. He wants me to try it again now that I had a hysterectomy, so I need to get my prescription refilled...

Rachelvk- I am ER5% and PR8% they say that kicked me out of the TN diagnosis and yes I am on Tamoxifen. I hate the SE's but I will do anything to help prevent a recurrence. I ended treatment April 25th started Tamoxifen 3 weeks ago.

My Oncologist has me on the normal dose 20mg a day. Hope this helps..
