I wonder if she should ease into the glove to get use to it. Maybe a couple hours at a time. Be careful that at the finger webs they don't bite you and if you find irritation then slap a bandage inbetween the fingers like I do.

If the fingers are a bit tight then wet glove and push in big felt markers and let it dry that way. Works for me like a charm.

No tingling or blue fingers allowed or swelling at the tips. That means it is too tight.

Aren't all these girls amazing? Some guys too. like Pat O'conner, a dear LEer like us that has educated the community so much.  Everyone here is so helpful getting us over the LE hurdles. YEAH EVERYONE. Kisses for all.KissKissKiss

geebung,  I saw my LE therapist today and told her what happened to you and she was livid. She's "old school" and believes that all people with LE should fly wrapped for a long flight, but at the very least, should have well fitting compression.

Totally agree with Hugz, try out the sleeve/glove combo for a short while and make sure it fits, doesn't chafe and doesn't trap fluid.

And enjoy your trip, and hopefully the glove will bring down the last of the plane flight swelling.

Thank you everyone for the great advice! I'll definitely "break in" the glove before I wear it. It's a Juzo gauntlet with fingers, 20-30, Type AC, size M. The therapist said that my sleeve is too high compression for me and that it actually had squeezed the lymph fluid into my hand. He fitted me with a glove that seems comfortable but I'll do what you suggested, Hugz and wear it for a while over the next few days. My next flight is to Dallas on Wednesday but I think it will be less than 2 hours so it might be a good test run for the glove.

Hope everyone has a great weekend. Love and thanks to you all.

Geebung, just remember that the gauntlet doesn't protect the fingers, and how about getting a sleeve that isn't higher compression and pushes fluid into the hand?

A gauntlet isn't a glove, as a glove has fingers.

It sure sounds like you have a lot to talk about with your LE therapist when you get home, even if you switch, the feedback will hopefully make her evaluate her decisions.

    Hoping for an uneventful flight.

    Is the hand okay now?

Thanks Kira - yes, my hand looks normal now, although it still feels a bit tingly at times and the therapist said yesterday that it was still a bit swollen - but SO much better than it was when I arrived. I will most certainly be getting a sleeve that is lower compression when I get home. I intend giving the therapist who measured me for my present sleeve some feedback but I will seek out a well qualified specialist to fit me for my next sleeve. Thanks for your good wishes for an uneventful flight.
