    Hi,

I lived with a wound vac for several weeks after having rejected my implant, massive infection, etc.

It's so tight, and I'm so uncomforable.  My skin just doesn't move at all.

I'm quite prone to adhesions, too.  I've even had bowel obstruction due to adhesions.  UGH   Advice from any of you?   I thought the wound vac did this to me, but is it just more adhesions my body seems to make?

Kindest regards to all of you going through this.

ETA - The "tight" area is about 4" X 2" - my skin graft and then some.

Have you seen a physical therapist who does myofascial release? If you could find one who specializes in working with women who have had breast cancer surgery, that would be especially helpful. I had adhesions that were "released" using the myofascial release technique.

I can only echo Erica...you need a professional to help you, to at least teach you what to do at home. I too develop adhesion's quickly and 1 year out, i still have to move my skin around to stop re-attachments. A physical therapist taught me.

Thank you, Erica and Crystal!  I will definitely look into it.  I've been massaging it more the last couple of days, and I'll look into the therapist.

Exactly what am I looking for?  :)
