Steroid side effects.

I had 7 months total of chemo and dedadron. One month later I have noticed "dimmed" and worsened vision. My opthomalagist diagnosed retinopathy, but has not attributed it to steroids. I think it is. Anybody else have vision probs after chemo?

Any comments appreciated.

    I write a BC Blog and hear from alot of women.  Many have had vision problems after chemo.

    I ended up with cataracts after chemo. At the age of 46yrs! My MO and PCP and optometrist all confirmed they would have been caused by the steroid pre-meds during chemo. In my case it was a drug called Dexamethasone.



    I am fine during the day but have poor night vision. My eye specialist is seeing me in November and we will talk about scheduling the cataract surgery then. I am still finishing up reconstruction and there's only so many surgeries I can fit in with my full-time job...
