Well my hair started falling out in earnest, itching and finally pain. So I knew all along what I needed to do. I had my hubby cut it all with the buzzers to 1/2 an inch cause many gals recommended it on this board. I got a little emotional but then we started having fun with it. Now what do I do? I now have 1/2 inch pieces of hair everywhere! like if I had just gotten a hair cut every 5 minutes. I am itchy (from having little hairs on neck and chest). I did run a lint roll on my hair (ouch!) and it did get a lot but..it keeps going.....what else can i do? love and thanks

When my buzzed hair was at that stage, a vigorous washing ( scrubbing!) of my scalp in the shower got rid of most of the pricklies in just a day or two. I also used the lint roller regularly!

I also did a good head scrub in the shower.  Trust me, it will eventually be gone!

I tried buzzing it down super short but it just annoyed me to see those short little pieces everywhere. At one point I was spending truly excessive amounts of time showering & lint rollering!! So I ended up using a razor & shaving it down to my scalp. Felt so much better and no more hair trail! Just have to be careful not to nick yourself, maybe use an electric razor if you have one just to be safe.

And like the others said, most of it will be gone in a week or two anyway no matter what you do. Undecided If you do shave it, rub some oil (a good herbal oil, or even just coconut or olive oil from the kitcheb would do too), feels nice and soothing.

Ok, don't laugh, I vacuumed my head! Full force, seemed to suck those almost ready to fll out, itchy, painful buggers out! I think I did it about 3 times over a week and then it was done! I was left with "fuzz " all through chemo.
