    I had mammosite radiation 4 years ago.  Check ups have been uneventful, thank God.  Now suddenly the breast is very sore. 

    How can that be?

    I don't have an answer, but I also had Mammosite radiation over 4 years ago. I was surprised that the radiation site continued to change for a couple of years, but it seems to be stable now with just one small area of tenderness. If you are still getting checkups, please let me know what the doctor says about it. Do you think the pain might be caused by something else and not related to the radiation?   --Tricia
