My eyebrows thinned towards the end of my chemo, some are still there, but they are going quickly. I have about 6 eyelash hairs left spread over both eyes.
No suggestions but will see what others say.

Eyelashes came out a couple of times and did finally come back. My eyebrows are gone. I use a powdered brush to fill them in. My hair is thin on my legs. Private area is thin too. My hair came back full not as thick as it was but is all there. I heard some people do not get their hair back from certain chemo's.

I finished chemotherapy in May 2012. Eyebrows thinned considerably, and I now have to use a pencil to fill it in. Not expecting them to grow back more - it's been a year now. Lost all lashes, but they came back as before, no problem there. Hair grew back, thinner on top, but full coverage.
I think the name you're looking for is Latisse. -
While you wait for more members to respond, you may want to check the main breastcancer.org site for information on hair loss.
We hope this helps!

Does anyone have information about the effectiveness of using Latisse during chemo to save eyelashes and eyebrows? I've used Latisse previously, and it worked great to grow my lashes thicker.
Thanks.

I didn't use Latisse during chemo, but I did several months after because my eyelashes grew back sparse and short. Within about a month of use, I had my old eyelashes back. I know they are doing a clinical trial to see if it works to prevent loss during chemo...

Try Brian Joseph's.

I,too, waited until after chemo and then used Latisse. Eyelashes and brows fully normal after 1 month of daily use.
I would not have used it during chemo because it is expensive and I have a feeling the chemo would have negated the Latisse's effects.
Hugs,
Peggy
