My report of my visit with Dr. Wong/master herbalist!
Hi Ladies, I wanted to share my exciting visit with Dr. Wong!
Here is a summary~
Here are his credentials/website
http://www.georgeycwong.com/curriculum_vitae/
I have been in contact with many women he has helped with breast cancer. He has also cured Ann Fonfa's breast cancer (lobular, same as mine) after nothing else had helped...Ann Fonfa is a well known blogger and and breast cancer advocate...here is an article on her where she mentions Chinese herbalist and medical doctor...Dr. Wong, who I went to see. http://www.lef.org/magazine/mag2010/feb2010_The-Annie-Appleseed-Foundation_01.htm
I asked him Dr. Wong if he knows Dr. Nicholas Gonzalez, since they are both in NYC and they both worked at and taught Cornell medical University/hospital...Dr. Gonzalez is the other Doctor I was considering seeing due to his success with his enzyme therapy....he is just very expensive and I would have to take 300 pills a day. Dr. Wong said that Dr. Gonzalez and him are very good friends, but Dr. Gonzalez is very expensive and 'who wants to take 100-300 pills a day?"
Dr. Wong said while he was at Cornell, ...out of 1000 breast cancer patients he treated, he only had 10 relapses! He was having such success, that they pushed him out so now he treats patients on his own. He is very well known and is a part of many cancer conferences around the world.
He asked me many questions and looked over my test results. He also did a pulse/chi reading, which was different than anything I ever had done, He was not too concerned with my low iron, but when he took a look at my hemoglobin and white blood cell counts his mouth dropped open and said "Holy shit!"...he asked me if I had chemo and almost didn't believed me when I said I didn't. He said my white blood cell count is as low as a chemo patient. He said it probably has to do with losing so much blood during surgery. (I am pissed that UPENN, where I had my surgery, didn't inform me of the dangers of low blood cell count...they knew I was borderline transfusion)
(Dr. Wong said its best I didn't have a transfusion as once you do, your body doesn't recognize the new blood etc...creates other problems) He also said it's best I didn't have chemo after surgery as that would have practically killed me due to my low blood count.
He recommended I eat organic grassfed lamb chops and other red meat in order to bring up my white blood cell count asap...would also help with my iron. He said his herbal concoction will also bring up my counts. He will check back with me every two weeks to monitor my symptoms etc and customize my herbals to best suit me. He is concocting a "Tamoxifen" herbal along with a bunch of others. He said I, more than likely, got breast cancer due to my hormones being out of balance due to my heavy menstruation and also due to my anemia...and, also stress. He said I am anemic....and have probably have been my entire life, he was surprised UPENN didn't tell me that.
I asked about nutrition/diet for breast cancer and he said it has never been proven to eat totally vegetarian. He said a little meat here and there is good along with juicing and he highly touted the coffee enemas. He looked over the supplements I am taking and told me which ones to oust and which ones to keep. He told me not to worry so much, that stress is the killer. I teared up and he said not to worry, he feels he can totally help me. I will be taking his herbs for a couple of years. The people he has helped/cured have taken them a couple of years and are fine many years later. I asked if surgery can cause cancer to metastasize and he said it can, but his herbs are systemic and will kill circulating cancer cells asap. (what I am concerned about is that my white blood cell count is so low, that it cannot kill off any cancer cells properly, which is its job)
Anyhoo, I am a little nervous about the Tamoxifen herbal as I had contact with one woman who said it made her gain weight..Dr. Wong swears it will not cause weight gain as it is just an herbal with no side effects like Big pharma Tamoxifen...I will report back with how I am doing...I am excited!

Supplements he said not to waste my money on...Artemesinin and IP6 Gold....He highly favored curcumin/turmeric/Green tea supplements and high quality Paul D'arco.
He was highly against Metformin and LDN
-
So glad you had a great visit.......how typical of the medical world to chuck someone out because he was beating the statistics going the integrative route....!!!
When you get the time I would love to know more about his thinking re Metformin, LDN and Arteminisin and IP6 Gold if you don´t mind? I took myself off LDN......
Its very interesting as I had a blood transfusion about 6 years ago and often wondered if that triggered the ILC.....it must affect your immune status, but it did save my life at the time although i was not happy about needing one (extensive internal bleeding post hysterectomy)
-
Hi Lily!
Yes! He was sooo adamant about me not having had the blood transfusion....I don't mean to scare you, it probably wasn't the cause of your ILC/? He kept saying how it messes with your whole body's system etc...
He didn't go into much detail about each supplement, we just ran down the list...this is what he said about a few...
LDN...He said "Go ask the guy who took it who is dead!"...Didn't say anything more, but was pretty darn adament.
Metformin...He said "Why take it, you're no diabetic"...I answered that it seems to keep blood sugar down and he didn't say much more, but pretty against it.
IP6 Gold...he said "Don't waste your money!"
Artemesinin...He went off on a tangent, and it's so hard to understand his English at times and he gets a little frustrated when we kept asking to repeat himself....He basically said there is no scientific evidence backing this one up.
-
Oh, He also said NO DAIRY! Even Raw! Too acidic. he said goat cheese is VERY good for us, said that twice...also said raw Goat milk is great too.
-
Thank you, that was quick.....I always wondered re the blood transfusion but I had lost so much blood I could not even get out of bed and was barely conscious, I had out on my notes NOT to give me transfusion but in end was too weak to refuse as told I would die......
I like goat cheese but cannnot get it raw, its not intensively produced though as the goats walk around our area eating everything....!!!

Joellelee - interesting. I met with a natural oncologist who did major examine and gave list of foods and supplements. Wanted to give vit infusion. She urge vegan no dairy but if I must organic Greek yogurt and no red meat no alcohol...not issue. Having some issues with all gluten free no soy no sugar low fats...what can I eat with family...no Costco hot dogs or pizza or DQ or apple pie oh my...all wonder if there will be deserts or cookies ever again.
I figure if I'm gonna take HT I should follow the new lifestyle nutrition and supplements
Good Luck to you. -
The natural route is much harder work than popping a pill....
-
Very interesting.gotta keep an eye on this thread.
-
I like that Dr. Wong is not real strict with diet! He says taking his Herbals and cutting dairy, juicing and enemas will probably cure the cancer in a few years...I'm excited and will keep everyone posted!
-
Joellelee, That is super exciting! Sounds like he's confident about what works. Can you tell us what herbals he prescribed?
did he happen to say anything about enzymes?
-
Joellelee that is so exciting! Do the herbals come in bottles that me mixes up himself? Does he tell you the exact herbs that are in the concoction? Thank you so much for sharing this info! Oh and did he say to take NAC? I noticed that Ann Fonfa mentioned it and I have been reading so much good about it lately. I'm pushing the stuff on everyone I talk to lol!
-
He is very kind, but a little bitter over Cornell. If anyone meets him please don't mention I said anything. He did not say its confidential, but I would hate for him to be upset with me if it is. I will ask him about Nac since Ann Fonfa takes it. He has a quick wit and we enjoyed him eventhough he was hard to understand...Lol
-
He does not mention what is in his herbals except for the Tamwo. He customizes for each person. It used to be a dry tea mix now will come to me in liquid form I drink cold twice a day...heard it is putrid...yikes...will have to use a chaser!
-
So glad you have found someone to guide you.
-
Good idea, natty!
-
Interesting article mentioning Dr. Wong
-
-
what about different brands of supplements? I understand they all are not created equally. no regulation by fda
-
Right....I do research on which brands people get the best results from...
-
Joellelee...thank you for sharing all your info, it's very caring of you! I applaud your desire to be your own advocate in caring for your health. Sounds like you are pleased with Dr. Wong and hope all goes very well for you!! Hope you continue to share your journey with us...thank you again!!
-
Joellelee, ditto what hopefour said. Thank you!
-
Yes, very nice to see an alternative approach
I'm doing herbs too and feel very outside the box. My herbalist is in South Florida and believes in detoxification and true healing, from the inside out. If any of you have not seen "Healing Cancer from Within" I recommend it :-)
-
Thanks for all of your encouraging words! I finally found some peace with my decision making...I will definitely keep everyone posted! Xxoo
-
Joelle are you still doing the iodine protocol? What if anything did he say about iodine?
-
I am not very consistent with the iodine protocol because I get such major skin detox! I have rosacea that just gets painful and worse when I do the iodine...I do all of the companion nutrients, but it's still an issue. I think the protocol is important, though. I asked him about iodine and he said it's not necessary because his herbs have some iodine...I drank my first herbal today...didn't taste too bad, BUT, boy does it have a very very strong Cannabis odor! I am wondering if cannabis is one of the ingredients which makes it work so well? LOL And, maybe this is why he doesn't divulge what's in his herbs? I felt great after drinking it! haha
-
Haha that is great! It heals and feels good instead of having crappy SEs! Awesome
-
Thank you for all this information. I found the comment about developing cancer due to being anemic and heavy menstrual periods interesting because both of those things were the norm for me too. Did his herbal drink actually give you a high? Is the only way to get his herbal drink by seeing Dr. Wong or is it available on-line somehow?
-
Funny thing is I heard from a woman who took his herbs and she said she gained a little weight...which worried me. When I asked him, he said it stimulates the appetite...(which, cannabis does as well...hee hee)...I was very hungry today...I have to watch it as I don't want to gain weight. Now, I am NOT saying it definitely has cannabis in it and I am afraid to ask him, but it certainly smells of my college days...LOL...I didn't feel high, just maybe a little like I was back on my percocet after surgery...
-
You cannot purchase it online, he custom makes the herbs for you!
-
Maybe I will make an appt since I love percocet lol!
