Best way to diagnose IBC

I have been reading lots of information on IBC on this site the past few days. I have read about many false negatives on punch biopsies only to get a positive result with additional or different testing. I am going to my breast surgeon tomorrow to be evaluated for my symptoms post lumpectomy that I feel resemble IBC and want to know what it the best way to diagnose? What tests should I ask to be performed?

Well, I think Bon had some excellent advice on another post. The punch biopsy should be used in conjunction with an MRI to determine the places to biopsy. Hopefully, she will be along to advise. She is very knowledgeable.

I believe I had ultrasound guided biopsy. My onc followed up with MRI, brain MRI, PET scan, bone scan for invasive ductal carcinoma found.

Hi:

I would definitely choose a breast MRI; I feel they have the highest rate of accuracy.
