Oh do post some chin puppets. They've gotta be a hoot!!
Something must be wrong. This is my favorite thread. Should I be worried or concerned? Nah!!! -
Wine is fine, but Whiskey's quicker!
-
No drinks tonight. I've got an Arbonne (skincare) Party tomorrow night (you know, like a girls night out, at a tupperware party) and after celebrating Janis' bday for her last night, I need a break... Funny typo, I hit the w instead of a (break not brew)

I haven't laughed so hard in a long time as I have after reading all 23 pages of your posts! When I was first dx back in February, I was treated at a cancer center in San Francisco. I began to feel like a total lush -- every new doc and nurse practitioner I saw asked questions about my alcohol intake: how many drinks per week? Well, let's see, two or so glasses of a day, times seven, OMG I'm a total lush! I found myself not quite being honest. Thanks to all for allowing me to feel not quite so ... guilty.
Had my first AC round two weeks ago, second round tomorrow. Nothing tasted good, especially wine and beer, until last night. The half=empty, re-corked bottle called me so I poured a glass and, wow, it tasted great! Back on the roller-coaster tomorrow.
Thanks for the smiles, ladies. You are awesome!

Oh, that reminds me of:
How do you hold your liquor? By the ears..... -
Ok, here's one,
I don't have a drinking problem. I drink, I get drunk, I fall down, No problem! -
My bowling towel says "My drinking team has a bowling problem."

Oh, phew! I thought I was the only drunk on-line tonight! (j/k)
I say, have one of each but you can't start with beer as the saying goes "beer before liquor never been sicker" or something like that!
Uh oh - now we're going to have to test this theory, cuz the way I heard it was "Whiskey after beer - never fear! Beer after whiskey - pretty riskey!"
Who's right?
Ronda -
There's a new sports bar in town near the new major league baseball stadium. St. Louis is always known as a "baseball town" The motto of the bar is
" A drinking town, with a basesball problem" -
Well, who's going to be the guinea pig? Not I, been there done that. Can't mix. Gotta stay with whatever I started with. Is there a saying for that?
-
Remember the song... "Candy is dandy, but liquor is quicker"
-
OOOoooo!! Speaking of songs. I heard the grossest song of all time. Had forgotten all about it until I heard it yestereday. "Timothy".

Don't change horses in the middle of the stream?
Ronda -
Ah, I'll try to remember that Ronda. Thanks.
-
yes lini............DO NOT change horses in midstream.........i am the poster child for that statement this morning!
-
So where are all the chin puppet photos?
-
Oh my God you woman are so funny, I love reading your posts. I'm a drinker and will continue to be a drinker. I love goldshalger, on ice. Capatin and Diet Coke. I will be pool side all summer with any one of these drinks in my hand on any given night.
Do you mind if I drop in once in a while and say hi!
Randi -
Party ON, Randi!!!
-
whats goldshager and where do i get some? lol!........drop in often we're "always here"...........yikes that sounds bad!
-
Goldschlager is like cinnamon shanps, man i should not be able to drink it if I can't even spell it. My darling hubby got me hooked on it years ago. It can be very evil though so be careful.
The other day on my way home from my Herceptin treatment I had a Carmel Appletini, from Applebes. Oh my God it is heaven on earth, girls you should try it.
Randi (hiccup) McGowan -
Hi Randi,
Since we're talking schnapps, my vice was root beer schnapps. Reminded me of root beer floats with ice cream on top.
B-52's made with 4 liquors. Kahlua, something, something and something.. ( I love this stupid pill we take each day) One of the liquors was clear. A layered drink.
Shel will know. -
Hi to all my drinking buddies. I'm not big on sweet or fruity drinks, other than those with cranberry, pomegranate, or grapefruit juices. Anybody have any ideas on tart, sour, or refreshing drinks? Something that doesn't make you want a glass of water afterwards because you have a lingering sugary taste.
C'mon I know you guys can send me some great recipes to try.
Lini -
The only refreshing drink I could like was boring. Just a vodka, tonic and lemon.
Which reminds me of the time my husband and I were out to dinner, and I ordered that drink, I take a sip and it was so refreshing, I drank it down in 2 gulps. Waiter sees I'm empty would I like another, sure. Down that one goes. My husband is looking at me, Hey it tastes great what can I say, gettin a little tipsy.
The waiter comes back and I tell him that's the best tasting vodka I ever had - what's the name of it? He says, Oh, you wanted vodka in that? -
That would be the problem with those refreshing drinks, they go down to easy.
