AMERICAN IDOL...Season 12 & The Voice...Season 4

I might quit watching those two-hour shows from now on...since I can recap the singer in 15 min. online the next day. I like saving all that time. So, what did I miss as far as (what I call) filler entertainment? I do sometimes like when the judges get up on stage.
Anyway, you all might be shocked that my fave performance of the night was...The Swons. It just felt very natural. Organically good. Yes, the little Swon is not as strong as the other, but Messina wasn't as good as Loggins either, now was he?
I'm a Judith fan, but her song didn't bring out the best in her. I'm a Sarah fan too and I read that the judges went to heaven on her number. O.K. fine, the only thing was that the usual "grit" in her voice was also reminding me of phlegm in her throat tonight.
Who do I think will go? I think Amber failed to launch last night and I did not care for Sasha very much either (but I might just be tired of that song since we just heard it on AI.) Kris was not at his best, but I hope he sticks around another week because I like that silky voice of his.
(p.s. I forgot to add that Taylor Swift must have called and wanted her liquid eyeliner back because Danielle wasn't wearing a whole tube of it on each eye like she was the previous two weeks. They had her way too made up for a little blonde 16-year-old, but it was toned down a hair this week.)
-
I liked the Swons also, but I liked them better last week. I liked Judith's rendition of the MJ song but I must be a callused old lady because I felt like her sorrow re: doing a MJ song was affectation & a ploy for votes! I don't remember Amber's performance so as E said, it must have failed to launch, but I'm still hoping for a Sasha/Josiah goodbye party.
-
No Voice tonight? or will it be on later?
-
Karen...This morning i heard that 8-9 pm will be dedicated to Oklahoma instead of repeating last night's highlights
At 9 The Voice will be on on its regular time..........with results
-
Thanks sheila, the all-knowing of all things AI or The Voice, you are a peach!
-
That was a given, Danelle and Judith, I so hope the Swon Brothers stay, great charisma.
-
My word, Shakira can sing!!!!
-
Any ideas who might be going home tonight?
-
Shakira can sing and i love the way she was looking at her contestants with such a pride and love
she is one classy lady......
This show grew on me so much...i hope it stays for a long time and they stay choosing the right judges
-
Her's will be the next CD I buy, she is like a proud lioness. Me too sheila, I watched a show here and there the first season, then all of the next ones, I really look forward to Mon. and Tues. night, and it is because of the talent and the judges, I love how they are together.
-
We have 4 more weeks for the finale......
-
I think Chris will go and if the teeny boppers didn't jam the phone lines, Josiah. That song with Usher really showed how he struggles in the higher register.
-
Your choices are my choices too....
-
YAY, YAY, YAY, you couldn't hear me yell and pump my fist, I'm sure my grandkids did, they're probably laughing right now.
-
It just made sense and yes my house was shaking...
-
For elderlys, we sure have some fun!!! Night sheila.
-
Between Kris and Josiah, they could have combined into one great singing package of looks and singing ability, but neither had enough on his own to get saved.
At this point, I am ready to see Sasha and Amber depart next week (but I'll try to keep an open mind and see if either of them will wow me next week.) Anyone who has an off week now is gonna be in trouble. Sheila, will they elimate two every week now until it is just the final two left????
-
I'm ready to see Judith go but I know she won't, I think the Swon Brothers already have a recording contract come out of this and Danelle too.
-
Yes Eli 2 every week otherwise they have to go until mid July
Good night Girls
-
Well I was 1/2 right last night saying Josiah should go. Next week should be Sasha & Amber as E has proclaimed!!
-
Funny, last night was the first time I've voted this entire AI & Voice season. For some reason I felt like throwing a big 3 votes to the Swon Brothers. It would be kind of neat to see a duo make it - interesting possibilities.
I also don't even remember Amber singing and I fast forwarded through Sasha because I didn't even like it. I agree they should be the next 2 to go. Judth hasn't shown us anything new, I don't think, but Sarah is full of surprises and her soft voice is amazing.
Sorry to see Chris go. He has such a smooth voice. So now the new coaches are down to one each. Michelle is very good so Usher could be okay for a while, but it looks like Shakira could be out of the running soon. I hope she comes back next year, because she's funny with the guys.

It will be televised.......
Good morning fans...
-
sheila, thanks for posting the link, he is my latter year's mega crush, he couldn't be more of a gentleman if he tried, so kind and caring.
-
I am watching Monday nights show and just watched team Blake's Holly sing "How Great Thou Art" and on a night after the Okie tornadoes had gone through... she gave me chills!!!! Simply and quietly AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!! I firmly believe that was the hand of GOD reaching out through music to his people on National t.v. Blake had no idea when he chose that song for Holly that those tornadoes were going to hit his hometown and there was going to be such devastation
God's nation needed to hear that song... they needed to know "How Great He is!" I was almost in tears listening to her.

New show after THE Voice ends
What do you all think????
-
I probably won't. I'll need a break by then + you think you can dance will be in full swing then.
-
If this is true i'll be happy
Update on AI Judges.....

Blake Shelton's relief concert date for Oklahoma.........
-
Hi sheila, great news comes in pairs today, really like the idea of past alumnae being judges, would rather Clay than Adam, but Jennifer and Kelly will be great, kind of wished they had kept KU though and Blake's special for his home state. Bet he gets a great line-up of stars for the concert. We have him for Mon., Tues., and Wed., YIPPEE!!!!! We have sunshine back but the temps. went way down, will build back up to the 70's by Memorial Day. Always a better day with sunshine.
-
For all you Voice Fans I really like Danielle on Team Blake she is quiet the country singer... and what the heck was Sarah Simmons singing? the music was so loud you couldn't half understand what she was singing on the tv... maybe the judges could hear better than we could. She has a nice voice but I so did not like that song
I like the idea of both Jennifer and Kelly C being Idol judges, but not Adam or Clay. I don't think Clay has a big enough name to bring in and audience and Adam put off to many people and has not been in the biz long enough to be a judge. I also think the smart thing to do would be hire someone with a big name to come and judge that would appeal to young people. That having been said... they should have kept Keith Urban or get Jon bon Jovi, someone like that.
