Shoulder Blade Burn / Lobular BC

I had left mastectomy a year ago, radiation, no chemo, sentinel node clear, 7 lobular tumors all multifocal.  Last night I couldnt sleep due to a burning sensation, felt like a hot poker just under my left shoulder blade (same side as mastectomy) anyone had this?  I am following up with oncologist today, it burns so much feels like I need to ice it, incredible painful, different to nerve pain associated with muscle injury.  Just worried this might be a sign of lobular breast cancer returning.

Nerves and muscles run from that area to chest area, sounds more typical of nerve regeneration but best to get it checked out....good luck

Thank you ladies!  I forgot to mention that Im waiting for my MRI results of my first annual screening since mastectomy, have to say that the delay in results is worrying me - when my invasive lobular was diagnosed a year ago it took a while for results and I have been told that the delay is often the 3rd opinion and double checking of everything.  Anyway, hopefully I will have them soon.  Will let you know about shoulder blade!

Hi there, just reporting in on MRI results, Mx side was clear but two small spots on remaining breast which they say look benign (smooth etc) so will do another MRI in 6 months to see what it is doing, I am having 6 monthly MRI's due to lobular nature.  Seeing oncologist in two days re shoulder blade burn.
