I want to share something my daughter did when I went in for my swap. She made me a card that said"Cause you beat cancer step by step. Fight like a girl." Then she went and had around 50 classmates and teachers sign it in support for us. I just thought that was really neat, brought a tear to my eye.

Hi everyone! yeppers .. it's me Cher.. long long time! I'm sorry I wasn't here for so long. I was in a dark depression! and was even getting bigger and had more pain than ever. Just felt I had nothing positive to contribute.
Beginning of April I started taking a all natural product, had approval from Onc & GP after a few weeks on this product my depression was completely GONE, and to my shock, all my RA/OA/FM/IBS/ITC pain was also gone! Nothing has ever worked!! NOW I've gotten rid of 29" and 13lbs. wooohooo eh?? I'm also back working at one of my passions.. caregiving (same company as 07-09 they've been keeping tabs on me thru Facebook and decided I was ready to come back..lol.. i'm not working with the at risk/high risk youth (my choice) but with Adults w/disabilities. I just love it!! But it was truly this product that increased my health & took away the depression that I was able to move forward!! I had been perty bad off.
I've been running a Weight loss / Healthy Life Changes support group via Facebook and would love for you to come join and get all your inputs also!! it's all about healthy recipes, motivation, inspiration, fun and tons of info /tips. I'm meeting the most awesome people.. but the true wonders and beautiful people are all here.. so I've come to get'ch's!! lol
I dont know how to upload a photo on here argh.I tried, but to no avail! My hair is amazing.. very grey and VERY curly!! hilarious! now I resemble the other side of my family hehe.
so come find me on FB at https://www.facebook.com/CherSout?ref=tn_tnmn and the group's name is Works in Progress.. as we are ALL a work in progress and it's about progress NOT perfection!! https://www.facebook.com/groups/WORKSINPROGRESSwithCherSouthwell/
I'm busier than ever, sleeping better (feels rested) in over 20+ yrs due to CFS/FM..I've got a whole new lease on life finally. I'm forever indebted to all in these forums.... you were all there for me, and I will work harder at being back here to lend support also!!
Loads of love
Cher

Iatigger - you have one spectacular daughter! Good job.
-
iatigger awwwwe how wonderful!!
-
ladies - i'm sad, angry and disheartened today... my colleague, who has helped me through my journey, has been keeping me up to date on one of the mommies of a child in his son's pre-k class who has been battling stage IV BC for a bit. Found out today she lost her battle on mother's day. When will this end? All this chatter about BRCA and preventive mastectomies and awareness and screening - it's not getting to the heart of the matter. What causes BC and how can we stop it from developing in the first place (aside from cutting off our breasts before any tumors even start growing)? No child deserves to grow up motherless. No mother deserves to know that she won't see her child grow up. No husband deserves to be left to raise a child alone in his grief. I'm screaming mad at cancer today. I'm mad it has taken so many people. I'm mad it has invaded my world so personally. And I'm mad it is again making me experience panic that I might not see my own kids grow up. Fuck off already cancer, would ya! Thanks for listening. Love ya all!
-
Iatigger, that is so sweet!!!!
Ramols... My heart breaks for that little boy!!! When I was first dx'd I "begged" let me see my boys grow up. I know losing a parent at any age is painfull but something seems so senseless in a little child losing one. Pre-K, the age when mommy is his whole world! I share your anger, frustration, hatred and fears. -
Shari, how are you doing?
Anyone hear from 2fried lately? -
Ramols - so sad! My heart also breaks. Fortunately I believe we were all diagnosed earlier than Stage IV. So there is hope, the earlier they find us the better. Thoughts and prayers going out to the little one, his family, you and all of us and our families. Another Angel in heaven.

Okay girls, I just heard from my PS an hour ago that they are moving my DIEP surgery up to TOMORROW!!!!! I'm still shaking, because this is so unexpected, but if I don't get it tomorrow, it will have to wait till October. My PS is going off on mat leave till then, so not much of a choice, is there? Can you tell that I'm just slightly upset? It is crazy here trying to organize everything so we can get away at five or six this afternoon to drive to Victoria. Oh my goodness - don't know how to feel. Sad because my children are coming to visit this long weekend, and now their mom will be in hospital till Sunday probably if all goes well. Anyway, I guess I'll see you on the other side of the mountain I have to climb tomorrow. The best to all of you, and a big hug for Ramols!
-
In your pockets liefie!!! Wow, noting lie lat minute changes eh? That's even worse than mine was, I was called on a Wednesday for Saturday surgery. The good part of it is there is not a lot of time for worry. surgery Thursday, sitting up Friday, walking Saturday and home on Sunday. Sending love and prayers!!!

Believe..where you headed this time? I am home solo for the weekend as DH and DS head for Baltimore and the Preakness before DS starts his summer law job. Going to spend it in the yard getting flowers in, yard mowed and making meal for Frinday night for my friend who lost her daughter last week. Will keep checking in! Hugs.

One test down for me, one to go - thanks for your support. The abdominal ultrasound was very thorough, with them coming back once to re-measure the lesion on the spleen but radiologist sent message back through tech that there were no significant changes from last ultrasound in July.
Take care everyone -
Websister, positive thoughts that your second test comes with good news as well.
