You said that so eloquently and I agree....hope you all had a wonderful mother's day!!!
checking in.....
-
Hi hermits- into a another busy week. My sinuses are acting up, and I hope I am not getting a sinus infection (me thinks it is just allergies once again).
Wishing everyone a good week with whatever lies ahead.
-
Hi!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So happy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The "thing" in my mamogram was some weird tissue from the radiation! Such a HUGE relief. I kind of wondered after doing some on-line investigation - the American Cancer Society recommends to NOT have a mamogram until at least 6 months after you've completed radiation. I cannot blame the doctor as this was my idea. But all is well - sighhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
-
-
CVmarilyn- such good news! The breast go through a lot after the radiation, and I have noticed some things since my treatments in Jan and Feb, that are now gone. I will have my first mammo in Sept which will be six months after the last treatment. Sounds like they did your mammo too soon. Whew, time to exhale! You felt it was going to be okay, here is to intuition.
-
CV YYAAAYYY so everything is fine.
-
Happy dance!
-
Skittle can't see it---Good Morning all.

Hi Everyone,
Hoping all of you are doing well
Hubby just sent me this story-I dont typically follow celebrity news but this is so relevant:
love and blessings to all
-
Chocolate that was nice of him to send it to u and one thing about her is when she gets advocating something she's relentless who knows what this can bring about for the future. OMG she's so beautiful, now that's unfair LOL
I hope everyone is doing OK without having pain for sadness-----AND MARKAT we're all thiking about u.
-
hi cami-
yes, wth her strong presence in the media, maybe something positive will come about...
and yes gorgeous, indeed!
love to all you inspiring ladies/hermits on the hero's journey:)
-
cami--
im a bit into astrology(of course there are exceptions to every rule).
angelina jolie has venus on her ascendant--
venus= planet of beauty-among other things.
ascendant= physical self, self-expression, etc.
it's in her stars! hehe
i don't have that placement. lol
-
oooChocolate how interesting.
-

Today, after wearing daughter's hand-me-down pair of puma shoes for over 3 years, I got a pair of saucony shoes. My aching legs are now feeling pure comfort.
New somewhat normal!!!
-
Oh Blondie u deserve anything u want--such an ordeal u'r going thru.
Teka I'm glad u found shoes--I have no a litte dressy shoes I can wear anymore--I'm trying to find my size in nothing elaborate just kinda cute--they're so expensive or not cute enough--I don't understand why do people who make shoes thing people with big feet aren't entitles to have cute shoes.
-
Blondie--what flavor?
Enjoy. I'm sticking to salads, trying to get rid of a couple of pounds before appt. MO gets cranky for any gain... Appt. next Tuesday.
Teka--Never tried saucony. Your testimony is tempting. I have tired feet daily, but blamed it on school room floor/concrete with ancient thin carpeting. Hmm... Shoe shopping in my future?
chocolate--I know nothing of astrology. Hobby? (Scorpio is all I know...)
camille--I share your concern for markat. Quiet is not always a good thing... Too much going on. Wish we could each help her in some way...
Laurie--good thoughts your way. Hugs.
-
hi blondie-- enjoy your shake! i'm not a "fan" of AJ either... just neutral.
teka-- new shoes are a good thing--comfort being priority! enjoy!:)
skittle--hello--i'd say a little beyond a hobby:) im a scorp, too. love the symbolism of the planets. fascinated by the stars. i think we give things power by giving energy to them.
cami-- they have all kinds of sizes at zappos.com-- free shipping too. don't know if you've been there.
i have to get wide ones cause my feet and ankles swell(and my right leg)--they also have extra wide--lots of cute shoes!
I prefer the slip ons--like mules or clogs.
have an awesome day, everyone!
-
markat-- love to you, your mom, and loved ones. my prayers are with you.
-
See Markat we all care so much. We're here.
-
Chocolate I have looked at zappos but right now I can't afford what I like--and not can e open toes blah--my toenails grew in sideways after chemo--disgusting so no one can see them cuz that sounds cute to me. Oh well I still have feet so I'm happy LOL
We've got the A/C on tonite it's warm out and fans on and I;ve got my cover on. Chit I used to make fun of my parents--we all did---now I'm sorry hahaha U'd walk in their home and sweat right away---and she would say in Italian wait, my dgtr, it'll be u'r turn. hahaha I mom only spoke Italian when she wanted to make a point, my Dad too--when we were growing up we were not allowed to speak Italian even thos they did--my dad wanted to completely learn English and he never had an accent after a few years but whhe family came over they spoke Italian so we'd waiver--But I really don't know anything anymore. LOL
-
Crap shoot even for the elite!
-
Hi hermits- home from yoga. I was tired when I went, felt better at the end as I always do. It is trying to rain tonight, just sprinkles for the most part on my side of town.
I have mixed feelings about the AJ news. Surprised to hear all she had been through, but I know the media has been talking a lot about celebrities who have had double mastectomies.
Teka- congrats on the new workout shoes! May your feet be happy!
Blondie- hope your next round of chemo goes okay.
Cami-hope you are staying cool with the A/C. Been very warm in some areas of the country this week.
Markat- we hope things are going okay for you and your family. Thinking of you....
Got some evening e-mails to do and then off to bed. Love to all hermits!
-
ciao cami
my feet are a bit 'different' , too:)
have you tried ebay? ive gotten shoes off ebay before(they prob have some cool/ cute retro stuff too)--oh and etsy as well.
if youre not familiar with ebay shopping--just be sure to check feedback--helps weed out the questionables.
you're italian? very cool:) have you ever been to italy? i've been there twice--loved it!!!(first time we went to rome, florence, and tuscany--arrezzo and stayed in a villa. it's so peaceful in the country--loved hearing the rain against the rooftop--also had lightning and thunder which added to the ambience. we were there in november(good prices). we went again in 2011 and stayed in rome--with guided tours--was so wonderful. every place we ate at in italy was AWESOME(even on the autostrada--the 'truckstops' i would equate with fine dining. omg. fresh delicious and made with TLC! also the first time i tried gelato-yum:)
teka--true. dat. ive always wanted to say that heehee
jazzygirl--enjoy the rain--i love rain--so romantic --prompts me to write poetry, make tea, and watch a jane austen flick.
love to all
-
Chocolate I hve tried the others sooner or later I'll get a pair.
And I love rainy days too so relaxing ad scary movie days for me. I love being alonetoo. I live with my dgtr--they've been having hard times too sp we decided we'd all have them together my SIL, and GS--but I'm at the other side of the house and it's nice enough but I'm a loner and when it does rain everyone here is like igggg, but me I close my door open the window and put songs on from the 70's or watch acary movies and I'm happy as alark.
-
im definitely a loner too. I love my social get-togethers once and a while--but basically I like to be alone with my thoughts and just create. Scary movies, eh? We just ordered THE BAD SEED. lol
yes gotta open that window to hear the rain:) but probably not wise to sit in a chair with the window it when watching a spooky movie lol
i like the psychological thrillers when it comes to scary--i don't like the blood and guts kind.
Glad you guys can all pull together, that's wonderful:)--sounds like it's working out well for all...
what kind of 70's music do you like?
-
Well almost all of it--I go back further with the music I like but I remember alot of the words and I sing alone right noe Oh what a night is playing==four seasons---and I try to do some movement as much as i can till it start to hurt then I stop. hahaha
-
"dance like there's nobody watchin'" as they say
