    The whole of the UK is talking about Angelia Jolie,  every newspaper has the story, BBC and all news stations are  talking about the NY Times article including hourly radio news reports on all stations.  It was a highlighted on the mid-day phone in segment on the very popular BBC radio 2 Jeremy Vine Show. 

    I think Ms. Jolie's speaking out has placed BRCA 1 and BRCA 2 awareness and understanding to the forefront throughout the Brisith Isles -- in one day no less. It's also excellent that the public was reminded that the NHS offers free testing to anyone who could be at risk.

    I heard about that today as well, and I think it's great.  What irritates me (and why I probably shouldn't read comments on online news articles) is the overwhelming amount of ignorance regarding the topic of preventative mastectomies.  I wish people could stop and think and realize that if she was really doing it just to get a boob job, she could have just gotten a regular boob job.  Anyway, just had to vent about that.  I almost posted a comment amongst the others but I'm sure it wouldn't change anyone's mind.

    Yea, lots of negative comments on every single article about this on facebook today.  Everything from $ to doing it out of fear (!) to just wanting a boob job.  Real ignorance.
