Just wanted to share my little prayer



Dear God

I want to thank you for everything you have done.
I am not going to wait until I get good news, I am thanking you right now.
I am not going to wait for a cure, I am thanking you right now.
I am not going to wait until I am fit and well and out of pain, I am thanking you right now.
I am not waiting for my hair to grow back, I am thanking you right now.
I am not waiting for my financial position to stabalise, I am thanking you right now.
I am not going to wait until I undersand the purpose of this journey, I am thanking you now.
Nor will I wait until I understand this pain and sadness that can come with this illness, I am going to thank you right now.
I am not going to wait until my family and son are reunited, I am thanking you right now.

God,

I am thanking you because I am here today.
I am thanking you because you stood next to me and held my hand when I was down.
I am thanking you because you did not abandon me.
I am thanking you because you have given me friendships on this site that have been a tower of strength.
I am thanking you for the love my family have shown me.
I am thanking you for watching over Jacob my son and protecting him.
I am thanking you for the powerful lessons along the way.
I am thanking you for showing me the difference between dying from cancer and living with it.

I thank you for all the blessings and lessons I have learnt so far and for all that awaits me.
