The reservation is under the last name Quick. I did leave an extra spot or two for any last minute add-ons. Set for noon and am excited to meet everyone......
Fredtan, there is also a store called Clock tower less than a mile from the restaurant. Haven't been in there in a while but you may want to check it out.
My hope is that this get together will be the first of many. I am happy to coordinate and am open for suggestions for where to have the next one.....
Happy Friday ladies..... -
Thanks Odie16! Totally excited, see ya'll tomorrow!
-
I think I am going to have to miss it.
am trying to talk myself either way. but I think It may be dangerous for me to drive. I have had this ongoing headache pain. went to ENT today. he saw "rather large bone spur" when he scoped my sinus. but anyway it hurts mainly when I bend over or when I turn my head-as in when I glance over my shoulder to check for oncoming traffic. its weird. CT of head was negative. wants me to see neuro doc now, who will order more scans, who will put me on migraine meds to see if they work. which they won't since this is pretty much constant fo rlast few months.
plus I am broke, and I have to do ACLS this weekened. its online now and sucks more than ever. online classes and this procrastinator don't go to gether.
sorry
take a vote on best MO and let me know who wins.

Ladies-- I had lots of fun today! Let's lunch again sometime!
-
I did, too! Thanks for organizing, Odie16.
-
Just wanted to thank everyone for coming yesterday as I know often our weekends are busy enough...Thank you for taking time to come....Really enjoyed meeting everyone and will gladly coordinate the next one (suggestions & dates??)..
For those unable to make it this time, hopefully you can join us for the next one!
And one last thought for the group, anyone interested in a visit or lunch at the Bull Run winery? I am not a huge wine drinker but wouldn't mind checking it out.... -
0die,
how about 1st Saturday of each month so that people could plan? Does that seem too frequent?
Does the Bull Run Winery serve lunch?
Thanks for everything!
Peggy -
Odie, Thanks for putting together yesterdays gathering. It was fun and great to meet everyone!
Once a month date is a good idea. Bull Run has food for purchase, cheese and stuff and street tacos from Coyote Grill. Which is another good place to meet in Centreville.
I met my friend today at the Avon walk (she walked in my honor this yr) and walked the last 2 miles with her team. Amazing what these women did and amazing what Avon does for BC.
Have a good week Ladies!
Judy -
I echo the thanks that others have mentioned-- thanks odie for arranging that lunch! I'm not much of a drinker either, but I'd be up for lunch at the Bull Run winery to enjoy the company of my fellow NoVa BCO ladies.
It was a great day for that walk today dessert1st, glad it was a good walk. -
I send my thanks also Odie...it was so nice meeting all of you and being able to discuss freely.
-
Odie, I want to join everyone in thanking you for organizing our lunch last Saturday. It was fun meeting everyone. I am so glad I came and look forward to the next gathering.
-
You guys are giving me too much credit as it was no big deal and I was happy to do it. Really enjoyed meeting everyone.
Love the idea of doing the first Saturday each month. For June, do we want to do Coyote Grill (patio seating if good weather) or the winery? I am open to any other suggestions as well...
Special thank you to Pat. Love the hostess gift and appreciate that you took time to make it for me. It has been hung with pride.. -
Odie, Coyote Grill gets my vote for June but I"m open to the winery if that's the popular vote!
Thanks again for organizing!
Peggy -
I can't attend the June one (I have a wedding shower that day), but I'm looking forward to seeing you all again sometime soon. Thanks again to Odie.
-
I'm up for either Coyote Grill or the winery. If its Coyote Grill would it be the Fairfax or Centreville location?
-
Coyotes new Centreville location is bigger and probably more central. Unfortunately, I think the first Sat is June 8 and I will be out of town
-
Hi,
I'm going mushroom hunting this wed the 15 with local guide. Its down in Richmond. going about 1ish. if anyone wants to go. I can add on people for 100 for 2 hr hunt.
-
Will set up the next get together for the 1st Saturday of June at the Coyote Grill in Centreville....Let me know if you are able to make it so I can make reservations.....
-
Just to clarify is that June 1 or June 8?
-
Technically the first Saturday of June is June 1st but if June 8 works better for most, I am up for either. So who is in and which date? Majority wins..
-
Hi Odie,
Either will work for me! I really like your non-dramatic approach--majority rules!
Hugs and thanks,
Peggy -
I am in in Alexandria, VA if you need a buddy. Just msg me. I could use some friends also going through this horrible ordeal that live near me.
-
Putting in an order for June 1.
Tracyinva-- you're more than welcome to join us once we set a date! I had a blast with these ladies on our last lunch. -
Happy to be anyone's buddy! Just send me a PM!
I unfortunately am going into a busy time in June and don't think I'll be able to make it this time. -
So far June 1st seems to be the favorite..
Thank you for the kind words PeggySull.
Tracyinva, I would be happy to be your buddy as you navigate treatment. As Cuetang said, please join us for lunch on June 1st if you can.
Mary, I am sorry you can't join us this time but hope to meet you once things aren't so busy... -
Hi, I'd love to join you at Coyote Grill June1st! I think I'm new to this thread. I am having chemo now. My last infusion is June 3rd! So the first of June will be great.
Looking forward to it!
Katie Jay -
Katie, I go to this get together to and wanted to say hi and I'll look forward to meeting you on June 1 as i'm sure everyone else will be. We can celebrate that your chemo is over too!

See you on the first!
Peggy -
Thanks for the welcome, Peggy! I'm one day post chemo and feeling alone and yucky. Your message has lifted my spirits
