AMERICAN IDOL...Season 12 & The Voice...Season 4

That was crazy trying to watch 2 shows at the same time, The Voice coaches have such a tough job to do, to sit there and eliminate one person. On Idol, I don't care who is the second person, as long as Kree is the first. Watching Chicago Fire now, great show.

Finished voting
Good night FANS

Still voting for Kree on the phoneline, night all.

I went thru the Idol performances real quick...and I can make this real short. Didn't care for Iovine's song choices, don't think any of the girls did that great on them so "love-all" as they say in tennis. Judges picked better song for them, and they all did well so, still running "neck and neck" as they say on Derby day.
That brings us to the closing songs picked by producers. Angie comfortable at the piano. I liked her second performance more but this one worked. For Kree, not as bad as the judges made it out. I liked her singing, but I don't think she tapped into the emotion of that song. Candice, not as great as the judges made it out, yada-yada, but she did the right thing in not trying to "update" the song too much and it came out like a classic.
Candice is my Idol. No matter what happens, I do think Candice and Kree could cut albums that sell, or Candice could do a Jennifer Hudson on Broadway. Angie, I don't know if there is a career there or not. She is a little generic.
Only meant to give my two cents worth, but it came out more like a nickel. Keep the change.
-
I sincerely hope you are correct in your assessment E.. My votes went to Candice & Kree (more to Kree) 1st time I've voted all year.
-
Oh no, dawg! Randy Jackson is leaving American Idol! Plus it looks like they're planning on firing all of the judges and maybe producer Nigel Lythgoe:
Well, I hope Candice wins. And on The Voice, I think Blake and Usher were surprised with who America saved and who they were left to choose from. I liked Cathia and I was surprised Blake saved the bros.
-
News reports of Randy leaving Idol, of all the judges being replaced. That is hardly surprising news to anyone on this thread because we have been griping all season about their lameness. Keith is o.k. (but I'm sure he wasn't planning to stick around very long anyway.) Randy has burnout, and the girls just did it for the money and attention and don't even think about what comes out of their mouths. Depending who they get as new judges, I might watch again next year, but if I see the same long drawn out (and boring) two hour shows, I don't think I can handle it.
I read that they are not going to have the "classic themes" anymore. Well, I didn't mind them in the past, but as the contestants get younger and younger and don't even know a Beatles song, I can see why they want to drop it. So, get ready for more Pink songs I guess.
Hahaha, I just thought of something. Do you think they will ever let contestants perform a song by any of the current judges on The Voice? I don't.

Happy News about AI judges.....
So who do you think is going home?
IMO Angie is safe......
we have to wait until 15 minutes before the show ends to et the results...........
-
Will only be sorry to see Keith go, Randy could have left wks. and wks. ago and I wouldn't have missed him. Cannot wait, I'm on my ottoman in front of the TV, it's a relatively small TV and am not accepting calls!!
-
Well that is great news to hear!! after seeing the show this year that is just sweet music to my ears... Randy J leaving, it's times for a change, KU has been pretty good, but he just didn't do it for me! He has been too patsy and not hard enough. Of course you ladies both know how I feel about the 2 women judges... UGH!!! to the highes max especially NM... I absolutely can't stand her. I'm really wondering if that survey that Idol sent out had anything to do with the sudden news of the firing of the judges and getting a new producer also? My opinion is... YES!!! I certainly made my opinion known when I filled mine out.
-
Sheila, I think Angie and Candice will be in the finale. Last night I think Angie did better than usual and Kree did worse than usual. But I was totally wrong about The Voice, so I'm not putting any money on it!
-
OMG Lauren grew up so pretty...♥
We all wanted a change...i hope it's really happening
Heartandsoul.....I'm not sure who is going home......
Angie definitely staying
Maybe We can vote for the new JUDGES....
-
Yes sheila - she is gorgeous, and knows how to use her voice to belt it out, she had "it" during American Idol but held back like Kree sometimes does, or else she would have been the winner. I hope Jimmy goes home too!!!!!
-
So what do ya'll think of Lauren's performance and her new song?!!!
-
Renee...i was so happy to see her......didn't pay to much attention to the song
i have to replay it later
-
About Mariah's Video - why do I feel like a voyeur? That was just a BIT much.
-
Don't Like the song.......
-
so Sheila you didn't like Lauren's song
-
No...Honestly...don't remember the song
Our girl our AI...she is glowing.......♥
-
Mariah's "free and easy" looks like a shampoo commercial! She is just so studied.
I liked NM on Fashion Police and I still like her candor. Oh well.
Excellent idea to get rid of theme nights. (though I always loved motown night during Hollywood week.)
Nobody is going to seem young singing Burt B. or Standards.
I am fine with a wide theme like divas or songs that mention baked goods or whatever.
I actually have found all the judges interesting, JLo was good, and I like NM but whatever.
There are some great singers on the Voice, but I find the format kind of confusing after the chairs spin.
Have fun!!!
-
Alicia Keys......♥♥♥♥♥♥
-
Last year I liked Skylar and Joshua.
-
Renee...I was talking about Mariah's song that I didn't like
-
The weather took out my satellite dish. Yes, really.
-
This is going to sound like a strange question but a lot of today's music seems to lack melody and song structure.
I find my self liking country/bluegrass more and more, and some hip hop/rb/rap/latin.
As I listen to Alicia Keys, while I like this song more than most she's done, I never got it. Rhianna leaves me cold too, as does much of what Angie sings. I like world music too! Much of american pop/alternative leaves me going eh?
Am I just middle aged?
-
oh Sheila... I'm too wild about Alica Keys song either. Cookiegal I was a big fan of and still am of Skylar. I am friends with her on twitter. She is quite amazing young woman.
-
the Mariah video was absurd. She was never my favorite, except for a few covers.
-
OMG OMG Kree is going home..........
I'm sad........
Maybe i'm wrong.............
-
I'm not a big Rhianna fan myself. Blah! I do like a few and I mean a few of her songs.
-
I agree with Jimmy, I liked Kree on dig two.
