I've seen many posts for weekly or every three weeks for Taxol infusions but my Oncologist is recommending every two weeks?  Anyone have this regimine?

I did dose-dense (i.e., every second week) for my entire treatment protocol (AC + T x 4).  The nice thing about it is I was finished chemo in 4 months.  The theory behind this is, the less time between infusions, the cancer cells don't have as much time to recover- and become resistant.  Chemo just keeps "blasting away" at them.

Not everyone can do dose-dense; it's hard on your system and anyone with a pre-existing medical condition, often, isn't recommended for it.  You will, probably, need injections (i.e., Neulasta or Neupogen) between infusions to ensure that your white blood cell count bounces back quickly.

I had the same as SelenaWolf. It was nice to finish in 4 months but it is harder on some.

Yes I had dose dense Adriamycin & Cytoxin and next Thursday have my first dose dense Taxol. The reason is Stage IIIa IDC with 5/11 positive nodes, 4 of them were invading into the tissue around the node. So they are trying to hammer the cancer. Halfway point. Rough but one moment at a time works to handle side effects. Good luck!
